  1. Thanks for your advice This way i will have healing at lvl 50, not at earlier levels when i do TF, but more or less is everything. Just a question, how do you calculate that 275% recharge bonus? Domination cannot be enhanced, and i don't think that a recharge bonus from the alpha can influence it. Adding together all the recharge time bonuses from the purple sets i will use: Both Dominator set Ranged damage Hold Immobilize Pet damage Luck of the gambler I don't think i will gain that much
  2. Why you are suggesting to drop medicine? My dominator don't have other ways to heal. I was expecting people suggesting me to drop fighting or leadership (that have not high bonuses for doms). About the defense i understand what you mean, but i still prefer the Mu mastery, since is an electric power like the basic one of my dom. If my build will be fully equipped with the purples enh i want, should be able to softcap S/L/E and have an high resistance (for a dom) to all other damages ^_^

I am leveling up an Electric / Radiation Dominator, but this problem is more or less the same for most Dominators: choose what power pools take. 1- SUPER SPEED Is needed to have Hasten, and be able to continuosly use Domination 2- MEDICINE Is needed to have a Self Healing. Also it allows me to store 2 additiona special healing Enhancement, like miracle. A dominator doesn't have many ways to heal himself, and this power pool increases a lot his survivability. 3- FIGHTING Is needed for Tough and Weave, and allows me to slot a full set of gladiator armor and shield wall. 4- LEADERSHIP The assault power gives me and my pets a +10% damage. The maneuvers power can be slotted with the reactive defense enhancement 5- MU MASTERY Gives me an additional pet, a very strong armor power that can be slotted with the Unbreakable Guard, and a power that boosts my resistance, and can be slotted with the Aegis special Ehancement. (the epic powes of the heroes, for controllers and dominators are so bad...) The problem of this list is that my dominator misses a movement power, and i can have only 5 power pools. I wanted to choose fly, to have also levitation, and slot the Luck of the Gambler bonus of global recharge speed. I don't like the running power of super speed, cause it doesn't increase my jump, and cause i can have the ninja run for free. So... What do you think? What are the power pools that a dominator absolutely needs?
  4. thanks for your effort, i tried it and not even the bind worked like i wished this command can activate power A, then power B, when both are ready to be used but, if power A is in cooldown, the power B doesn't activate since my intention for this key was: first use power A (heavy damage/long recharge) and activate power B (low damage/fast recharge) when A is in cooldown, this command does not work
  5. whatever, i never said this game was unplayable whitout improving macros, i said that the interface did not changed since day 1, but many powers were added the magnitude of this discussion is grown too much, so... bye

  7. And the part you seem not have grasped is: Adding 10 click powers to an archetype that used mainly 5 clicks in combat can be fine. Adding 10 click powers to an archetype that already had to use a lot of click powers, can be a bit complicated. That's all i had to say
  8. Thanks for the help I tried some of the commands you suggested, but it still didn't worked like i hoped. The keybinds can acivate first one power then the other, when they are ready to be used. But if the first power that should be activated is in cooldown, the second power doesn't work. Since my intentions were to create a macro that makes me use first an heavy damage / slow recharge power, and a light damage / fast recharge power when the heavy one is in cooldown, guess that this simply cannot be done with CoX. I guess i will give a try to the programs you suggested, just for curiosity ^_^ Should have said Dominators (1 toggle power from primary/secondary pools, and +1 click power compared to any other class) instead of controllers. My bad I agree on the pandora box risk, didn't mean to say: "i think this game is broken if you don't improve the interface like i suggest" I don't agree with the: "using a dominator is as easy as using a tank, more or less all characters are the same" Adding an average of 3 powers and 3 keys to press in a mmorpg during its development is no big deal. Keep adding them for 10 years, until you have 6-10 more powers / key to use in combat is a bit more complicated. I'm sorry that this can't be solved by macros/keybinds to not create bigger problems.
  9. one of the first replies to this suggestion, already stated what you said, about creating other problems, and the difficulty to modify the system as it is now i could agree with that, as i can respect different opinions about how useful are wishes/desires/suggestions. the "problem" started LATER, with comments about the way i play, the way i seem to not understand a game i played for almost 10 years, or about the number of toggle/auto powers a character can take (sure i could create a tank/scrapper/stalker/sentinel/brute with no toggles or auto powers. I am even free to have a mastermind that have no pets) i just replied to people, with the same "language" that people used to me please understand this 😉

  11. i have played CoX since day one, i know what is about and i know it's defect very well and sorry, i don't find too powerful to have 1 key to activate a X ray beam or a Neutrino Bolt, i find too powerful to be able to program a dominator to be in perma hasten / domination with a macro system that was supposed to prevent this i am getting tired of this, i made a suggestion, stated the reason i suggested the change, and all i get is people that say i don't even know a game i have played for so many years wrong game? probably i am just in the wrong community
  12. Can i ask you why you gave this scores? I have an Electric Radiation and i don't feel that bad about my powers, but im just lvl 30 and have not many enh slotted. Also have not much experience with doms

  14. Did not know about that. But i doubt that the incarnate system was designed from beginning as well 😕 And even if it was, i am sorry, but i still belive that this is a design flaw. Not surprisingly, when Cryptic designed champions online, limited the number of click powers each character had to use. (too bad that they did other huge mistakes in developing that game)

You seem to not realize, that this proves that what i originally said was correct: some archetypes can take more than half of their powers as auto or toggles, and control them is way easier than others. First you tried to deny this, and now you switch the subject still saying you are absolutely right. Sorry, I'm not wasting time in replying seriously to you anymore Is not laziness, just that talk to someone who's deaf, is a waste of energy
  16. Working awkward as intended... Sure You forgot to mention that a tank can gain another auto and 6-8 toggles from other power pools. And this possibly brings the total to more than half. My tank have 10 toggles that run all the time, and one automatic power from the ancillary set. This makes his total more than half. What i said still remains: This control interface was designed when the game had 20 powers + running, rest and brawl Now the number is almost doubled,the interface was never improved, and this makes some archetypes way more easy to play than others. You don't belive me? Sorry is math, not an opinion

  18. from what Starhammer said, automated combat still can be done and the kind of automated combat keybind he showed is crazy complicated, compared to me, who wanted just 1 key for 2 ranged attacks 😕 honestly, i can understand that a game that allows too much auto combat is no good, but the designers (the original designers) should have understood that "control" a controller or a dominator at lvl 50 gets crazy whitout some kind of automation i did not played mmorpg for years, cause no one was as good as coh, but even if they were bad, or had mayor flaws that made me dislike them, all the modern games i saw limited the number of powers (and keys) you had to activate in combat to allow a better control of the character
  19. i tried to create a very simple macro / keybind, so that when i press "1" on my keyboard, it will use an heavy ranged attack, and when this attack is in cooldown, it will use a light ranged attack that have a faster recharge rate it did not worked, and when i tried to ask for help in this forum i was disappointed to discover that the game limits this is possibile to create macro to make you dance after you kill an enemy, and makes you fly like superman, but not macro that reduces the number of keys you have to activate when you fight, as explained in this guide: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/The_Incomplete_and_Unofficial_Guide_to_/bind#Neat_Things_You_Can_Do_with_.2FBind this makes the game pretty awkward for many classes: the game was first designed to have a level cap of 40, no prestige powers, no temporary powers, no incarnate powers in this conditions, the 20 powers a character gained from level 1 to lvl 40 were enough to be slotted in 2 lines, and be used in an effective way but today a character at the top level have: 24 powers 4 incarnate powers that require activation 2 running powers 1 jetpack power (if you dont have fly) 3 prestige attacks (that come controllers still need at lvl 50) 1 power to rez when defeated 1 mission teleport 1 team teleport 1 secondary mutation, power 1 read the luck 1 vanity pet 1 animal form many accolade powers that you can earn... is a bit too much, for a game were you must activate each of this powers one by one sentinels, tank, scrappers, brutes, stalkers, have many auto powers that dont require activation, and many toggles that you only need to activate once, then you can forget about but dominators, controller, blasters, can be a mess honestly, i don't see any reason to limit the game, and keep its control system awkward while it could be improved

Unfortunately my dom can't have hasten, since already have 5 power pools: - healing (for aid self) - leadership - fly - fighting - mu mastery But maybe this is OT here 😛 Anyway i have a lot of powers that i can put on auto instead of the hasten, so your idea is quite smart even if different from what i planned originally

Thank you again, i will try it tonight when i will be back home Yeah, i guessed the same, but actually this is no good for a game like this A tank can be played easily: half of his powers are auto or toggles that you need to activate only once, and this leaves you with around 10 powers/key to press in most combat situations. But characters like controllers are a mess, too many powers to activate one after another as your level grows 😞 I am trying to play a dominator, but often it gets confusing

  23. thank you for your assistance i tried the macro you suggested, and at first it seemed to work like i hoped, activating the X-ray beam first, and the Neutrino bolt right after it on the same target but, if use the command once, activate the X-ray, and wait some seconds, the Neutrino bolt don't activates and the system warns me that the power (x-ray) is in cooldown, even if the neutrino bolt is ready to be used
