Sailboat
I've noticed that while some arcs do not, some do specifically exemplar the player down to level 1. It seems to be a thing. Is there some advantage to this? Some purpose?
quietkane
Two advantages: Level scaling is advantageous to the player in multiple ways at level 1, in order to make new players feel powerful. (Players have To-hit bonuses, relative enemy health levels are lower, all characters' damage values are normalized towards Blasters, etc.) The higher an enemy's level, the more powers that enemy needs to have in order to yield the full xp value for its rank. At level 1, that's only two or three powers. At level 50, it's closer to 20. So enemies designed for a level 1 mission can have only a couple of weak powers and still yield full xp, but at level 20 those same enemies would yield much less xp.
Trademarked Name
Snarky answer: It's the new AI setting. AE has seen how you play and it is putting you at the highest level that it thinks you're capable of handling. 🙂 KerPlow! Zing! Fwip! You've just been rocketeured! <-I'm trying to get that to be a thing. 1 Trademarked Name (@Trademark) Hocus-Pocus, Assault, Joan (of Atlas), Homunculous, Ensorcellress, Seismic, Wolfin, J0LT, The Limit, Transparency, Fastball, Loremaster, Monkey-Boy, Presto Chango, Kazam
