Spot Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Since the GMs are volunteers would it be possible to give the TF leader a button in the Nav window to click to reset a TF mission when something gets bugged? This would cut down on GM tickets to volunteers and be the quickest way to restart a mission inside a TF without starting the whole TF over from the start. Simply allow the TF leader to reset the mission once everyone exits it (each player exiting the bugged mission serves as their vote yes to reset) and are in zone like when the TF started. This would be worth the devs time to code in because it fixes the issue and not the problems that the GMs have to do over and over again. TF leaders already have the ability to kick members so why not give them the ability to reset a bugged mission with no wasted time of a volunteer GM? On regular missions you can just reset the mission or use your one a day completion, but nothing but scream for a GM you can do on a TF/Trial. I thought of this because the other night I was in a Katie TF and the escort got stuck in the wall twice, the second time we couldn't get her out of the wall and called it quits on the TF. Sure, we could of made a ticket at 1 AM central time and if a GM was on and not backed up could have came and fixed it. I'd rather just have the option to reset the mission and redo it and not have to wait for someone else to come carry us. We could then fix our own problems and keep going with no labor resource help from HC's volunteer team. What do you all think?
Razor Cure Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 I'd rather an option to autocomplete ONE task force mission. Only one, per task force, and the mission requires a certin amount of times/kills on that map, so it cant be abused. So even with a mission that could be abused and auto'd (say..mission 4, STF, defeat dr aeon, which takes at least 5-10 mins, on a super team), it would require say 20-30 minutes spent on mission (for at least 6 team members, to allow for unavoidable afking) and say 3 of the 5 AVs (or some similar check point) done, before you can auto complete it. Likewise with the Katie mission (which is about teh most commonly bugged tf mission), you would have to spend 15-20 mins in mission, and have freed Amy from her guards. Also, team leaders already CAN reset a task force mission, simply by having everyone log off anfd come back! 1

That would seem to be hard to get pugs back together if its more than 15 minutes.
nihilii Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 You just need to have everyone logged off at once. As little as 10 seconds should do the trick if you can get everyone to coordinate that well. Realistically you'd likely want to tell people to log out for 2 to 5 minutes on a PuG.
Razor Cure Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 The hardest part is actually getting everyone to log of at once. There is always some idiot who flat out refuses to believe that a TF mission can be reset, or who logs first then comes back RIGHT away, before others have actually gone!
