Screen resolution ??

Greetings All!

 

Just downloaded and installed the game on Windows 10.

I took the initial screen resolution and tried altering it to something way higher, but then the game looked like it was in a box in the middle of my screen, so I put it back to that default, which is fine.  

But when I Alt-Tab out of the game, now my entire Windows / desktop is at that much-lower resolution !    What the??

Anybody have any advice on how I can run the game at the resolution it seems to demand, while still leaving the rest of Windows alone?

Did you try disabling auto window scaling under options?  That's a newish feature that has had some impact on peoples screens although I never heard of it changing your desktop.  Hope you didnt change your default resolution instead of just in game lol

No, sorry, I apparently didn't notice that option.   And yeah, it did change my Windows resolution on me.  Had to manually change it back.    But I'll try this option when I get home tonight, thank you!

Well, I tried this and it sort-of worked.    If I alt-tab out to Windows, it still shows everything at the low resolution that the game is at.   But if I then shut down the game window, the Windows (Desktop) resolution returns to normal (high-res).

Guess I'll have to play with it a bit.  Thanks!

I just tried to log in and fixed the issue above but my resolution issue is still there and the game is sluggish to the point I can't play it. Not sure what is going on since it was fine on Tuesday.

Could you provide more information about the exact problem you're having and your computer OS and hardware?

Thanks, but I think I've more-or-less "fixed" the problem:   I'm running the game in Windowed mode, but with the Window at full-screen.  (At first, I thought seeing my Windows taskbar and the border while playing would be a bit distraction, but I quickly got used to it. )
