Cant believe I am playing COH again! I never thought it could happen. For years I had been searching for a game that plays like COH did. I got back into WOW for a bit, tried Champions Online for a couple days, but nothing brought me the happiness I felt when I played City of Heroes. When I finally installed the game and the old familiar loading screen popped up, I actually shed a tear. Can't wait to make new friends and memories!!

I was there on the last day of CoH and that was a sad day but also a huge celebration of friendship and great moments!!

 

Throughout the years I had days where I thought about creating a new Hero or Villain but of course there was no CoH. I remember the Meet and Greets in Seattle during PAX and the community was just the best. I was lucky enough to meet people around the World and even played in different times to sync with my European friends, South American friends, East Coast, Japan, Australia, etc. 

 

So, few weeks ago I randomly came across an article about COH and the Halloween release and I initially thought it was just some throw back to memory lane. Then I was surprised with the news that COH was back for sometime now. I confess that after I got all installed and went through the character creation I still couldn't believe it was there. 

 

Oh I was so happy when I punched my first baddie in AP and finally leveled again... best level 2 "ding" ever!!

And to make things even more special, people are still super nice and teams are just awesome! No solo games!

I've been hoping for years the NCsoft would bring it back or at least make a new MMO based on CoH/CoV.. I've been dying to do a sewer run with a new character for YEARS

Pretty sure NC-Soft never will, there is this whole loss of face thing, however Homecoming are currently negotiating with NC-Soft for some legitimacy, if that happens (fingers crossed) the biggest change will be HC being able to get the word out much wider that City is back, meaning a lot more of our orphans can find their way home.
