Dark Melee/Electric

I thought I would share this build, since it has been so much fun.

 

It's a very tanky build, but damage especially single target is good. Only really notice a damage gap when running with tricked out TW builds.

 

Nice tight ST attack chain. You will always have at least one attack available.

 

Decent AOE with soul drain, dark consumption, and lighting field.

 

Laughs at sappers, super stunners, or anything else that drain endurance

 

Tanky-ness in the base build allows you to focus entirely on damage incarnates.

 

Not a crazy expensive build. Best guess under 400 million. Maybe 300. Depending on merits.

 

Pros:

s/l/e 90%

psi 75%

46% melee def

Can run 4x8 energy boss farms in ok times.

2 end drains, plus a full bar heal

Good slow resists

 

Cons:

Toxic 24%

High damage neg energy mobs can be a problem only 54% resists

No travel power, but I get around just fine on beast run and super base TP

A couple of additional notes.

 

Ex-emps down well, just need to watch endurance more closely.

 

Below level 27 I pull out Sands of Mu again to have a four power attack chain.

 

Can farm energy or s/l maps 4x8 easily. Times are not going to impress anyone but it's a nice change of pace and the inf is good enough.

 

Comic con:

4x8 no bosses 9 mins

4x8 bosses 16 mins

 

Only problematic mobs I run into often enough to care are toxic tarantulas. I pop barrier and take them out first.

 

Soloed 4x8 ever mob group in PI radio missions as a test.

 

Now, AV hunting. I will probably need temp -regen powers unless I drop the difficulty.

I used your build here, except I had to revise it for a scrapper.... I already had made a DM / Electric Scrapper months ago but didn't level him up until last week. I'm farming 54x8 without half of the IO sets (can't afford them yet), most noticeably, the expensive sets. Also, I was doing 54x8 with bosses without even the Alpha slot unlocked. 

So I think a "good Job'sir!" is in order for you.
