no, I dont agree. - its player economy, if there was a cap, it would be easy to reach, and everyone would have everything they want therefore rendering AH useless, and would be no point to working towards a goal.. - this way, its a bidding war, for those that have worked hard deserve to get the things they want, while the recipient gets the earned cash for having said object in the first place.

Its just grafting, grinding. - just get out there and earn!.

If you want something, you either find/make it yourself, or you buy it (or you have a generous benefactor).  If you don't like the price, don't buy it.  If I take the time and trouble to make something, or I'm lucky to find something, why shouldn't I ask what I want for it?  Why should others benefit by forcing me to sell at their price?

With salvage having been seeded on the market, salvage prices are already set. With Reward merits being generously awarded by missions (from what I've seen so far) and merit prices of recipes  being so low, market prices for recipes are fairly low compared to what they used to be, so this already creates a maximum price. Not to mention that if something starts getting too high in price, turn in your reward merits for one and sell it yourself, instant wealth!

That just leaves crafted enhancements. The controls on recipes and salvage tend to depress this market. Little there is selling for what it used to, either. This market should be entirely what the market will bear as someone took  the time to buy and craft it for you. Don't like the price? Buy the recipe and salvage yourself and craft it yourself. Easy.

So, your suggestion is already in the game, maybe not as low of prices as you might like, but nothing like what it was in the old days. At the end, hitting the inf cap was easy. Not looking very easy here, but not looking as necessary either.

So in addition to what other's have said I will add that simply adding a market cap doesn't work. If you put a cap on prices and that cap is under the natural market price then people simply sell in face to face transactions. This was seen a lot back on the live servers with the Gladiator's Armor global IO since it initially sold for more than the market cap of 2billion inf. In the long run having a market cap actually hurts players since off-market transactions decrease transparency and make it harder to shop around. Additionally off-market transactions mean that the 10% market fee doesn't get paid which contributes to inflation.

As other's have noted the admins have seeded the salvage market with an infinite supply at fixed prices which is an effective way to implement a soft price ceiling. They've also decreased merit costs which should increase supply overall.
