"Cure Lost" from Montague (Midnight Squad) won't complete

Ooga booga! It's Tortuga!

 

I'm stuck on Montague's Cure Lost mission. I had received the wand, went to KR and cured 20 Lost. When I contacted Montague, apparently my 20 cures did not register with the mission. Now I have no wand - went to speak with Montague and Azuria to see if I could get another one. Nope. Went to see if I could craft one. Nope. Logged out, logged in. Tried abandoning the mission - Montague says 'Hello' and then gives me the same mission again, but no wand.

 

Any chance an admin could send me a Cure Lost wand? I'd love to finish this mission arc.

Contacting GMs for help

All of our GMs are volunteers that are donating their own free time to help the community and they receive nothing in return. That said, if you can resolve an issue without the help of a GM then please try to do so before asking for a GM to get involved. If you encounter a bug in-game such as your character getting stuck, your mission not progressing, or the floor disappearing then please contact a GM.

 

The preferred way for players to contact GMs is through the Homecoming Bot on our public Discord server. To view a list of active GMs and the Shards that they are on, use the "!gms"command in any help channel on Discord.

 

You can use the "!help [MESSAGE]" command in the help channels or in a DM to the bot and your request for help will be passed on to the GMs. When asking for help, please include your Shard, your character's name, and the problem that you are encountering. Alternatively, and only if you must, you may ping or DM a GM on Discord.

Thanks for sharing that. I’m going to try to complete it via a friend first. But this is good info to have.

I just encountered the same issue. For me it was caused by mistakenly thinking I had already accepted the mission to cure the lost. See, Azuria gives you the wand BEFORE Montague gives you the mission to use it.

 

Also, it is one of those missions that can NOT be auto completed (why is that a thing, anyway). The only option is abandoning it, which still leaves you with no wand and a stuck story arc.

 

Filed an in game petition but it is getting kind of late. If I log off will I need to file a new petition?

Old link, old CoC, the support system has changed and /petition works in-game now. Though !help on the Homecoming discord will still get you a link to the current support system.

You probably should. We don't always have someone available to help and a GM may respond to the ticket but close it if they weren't able to find you in-game, with instructions to file a new one or reopen it if you're still having the issue. You can check the status of your ticket in the Support section (link under the header) and if it's set to resolved, abandoned or no action, reopen it (by responding) or file a new one.

I did get a reply to my ticket! While not fixed, yet, GM NobleKangaroo made a comment and I responded. So hopefully an easy fix for them once they have confirmed the issue! 🤞🤞
