Dark/Dark - Help before I lose my mind

Hello all. Normal Scrapperlock main here who has recently become obsessed with Dominators. Don't know how it took me this long to take one this high a level. He's currently lvl 31.

 

Anyway, I absolutely love the build I have put together for my Dark/Dark/Soul Dom. Was so happy when I saw the end product.

 

...that was until I noticed I forgot to take Heart of Darkness. Which I love and absolutely need. The thing is that I have no idea what to drop for it. Here is the build:

So I ask my friends...which power should I drop for Heart of Darkness? And besides that, any specific build advice (though like I said I'm very happy with how this looks)?

 

The main power that jumps out to me is Afterburner. But I find it so much fun to zip around. Midnight Grasp might stand out as well for some, but I will be in melee range often for my PBAoEs. Should I pick up Smite instead of Living Shadows at lvl 2, then drop MG for Heart of Darkness?

 

Never had an issue like this selecting a power in my builds normally. I'm losing it people!

Yeah afterburner is pretty much the only thing you can give up.

 

You know, dark/dark power combinations on all ranged and support ATs always tends to cause people to go nearly nuts because there's so much stuff that's good and so much stuff that's slot hungry. In fact, I've got a dark/dark blaster who I haven't leveled for a while and I'm scared that the next time I play him I may become mad because I'll discover I need more slots for something.

I just became addicted to my dark/dark dom and have been playing her the MOST of my ...idk,,,13? 50s -

 

I should have tried this combo long ago, but I think i avoided it because my 1st ever 50 was a Dark/Dark Corr on CoV live. I've played several Dom types (recently Ice and Earth on HC, and my main was a mind/psi on live)

 

I have barely gotten half of her enhancing done, mostly transferred my other doms semi-good stuff to her, and I have only just unlocked Hybrid slot, but last night, we were very close to doom on a +4 random team up and I was glad to be able to lock down every potential team wipe with great effect.

 

I'm horrible at builds and min / maxing numbers or being meta, but I love the aesthetic and 'feel' of this character so much (she is the first of so many 50s I've actually unlocked all the costume slots for and made macro cc changes for).

 

Any special tricks and tips will be welcomed though, as I will stay tuned to this posting.

Hi! I cheked your build... good job with your ranged Def. You handled to softcap w/o Maneuvers and Epic Def shields.

So this is what i would do: drop soul drain, grab HoD, 3-4 slott in Life Drain (Gather shadows will increase your heals) and go for any +rech stun set in HoD 5-6 slots.

Also i added 1 purple set in confue if you can afford it and you can also use other purple set in HoD if you have the inf.
