CoH not responding once I hit "play" on tequila

Not sure what to say, all was working fine yesterday, and today when I hit play I see the ribbon in the middle of the screen that says "Loading" in the CoH style, then CoH opens a window, which stays blank and never gets to the login screen.  My wife, sitting next to me with the same rig, works fine.  Any ideas?

I found that we can start in safemode. I don’t know what safemode entails though.

Right click on Tequila and select "Run as Administrator".  When you do that, does the same thing happen?

Yes unfortunately. Stuck with a blank window and not responding.

Disable Windows Firewall and try again.

Do you have any other security software installed, like Norton Internet Security?

 

I ran a sniffer while I launched the game and found Tequila makes a call to one IP, then the game client another, then a third.  All three need to be unblocked to play.

It isn't being blocked at the switch/router/ISP level or your wife would not be able to play either.

 

A quick look at my install shows that Tequila is generating a log that ends when you click "Play" but the log files for the game itself are not being generated. 

Those would be a huge help.  Without that I'm just troubleshooting based of general internet related issues.

 

From another post I did CoX needs access to at least these three IPs:

Tequila looks at: 178.128.143.231

Login/Authentication: 178.62.218.227

Game Server: 128.199.33.161

 

Can you run a Tracert from the command prompt?  use 'Tracert 178.62.218.227'

You should see something that looks like:

If not we have a connection issue.  if we do it is a game client issue.  I would remove it and reinstall at that point.
