What level does your hero start to face it's Arch villain?

Hello all,

               It's been a long time since I played, and I have started a few builds and I see that I can change my difficulty and can face an Arch Villain other than the Elite Boss.  So when do you start to encounter them?  Thank you for your time.

There's an arc in KR where you face an AV at around level 14ish

Chernobog?  I think you can face him even earlier...  ISTR facing him before outleveling the rest of KR.
