If I could have had a Kin/BS instead of Kin/Arch on Live, I would have been one happy camper.  For a while, anyway, until the "SB plz" shakes kicked in.

 

In other news, I'm digging PartyKake's idea of a "tankermind."  That said, there are "hybrid" armor sets out there, even if they're not "armor/attack" hybrids (Ninjutsu, Dark Armor, and Fire Armor come to mind).  No reason you couldn't sub in an attack here or there to supplement the attacks you get with your Pet set.
