But I've certainly seen people doing exactly what @Darmian is warning against too. It's not an enviable position to be in where one is making the decisions for a game with a community that are pretty heavily divided between conservation efforts, new-but-not-controversial additions, and outright radical alterations. And is precisely why I think a clearly delineated and publicly available design document/roadmap would be so immensely helpful. Clear direction can lead to clear focus for feedback. 1
