Iliona Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 I have been booting COH fine until now (Win 10) but Tequila has suddenly started throwing an error when I open it: Quote Manifest download error for http://patch.savecoh.com/manifest.xml The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. I haven't touched any files or options to cause this, after the error started I tried switching the manifest to https://forums.homecomingservers.com/update/manifest.xml per the advice here but that got the same error. How can I get it working?
Hardship Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 It may have just been a temporary issue with getting to the manifest server. What happens when you try to load it in a web browser? If it loads, then Tequila should load it as well. I usually have the beta manifest, but I just switched the same as you list and it verified just fine. If you want, you could try the beta manifest and see if it will work for you. It is: http://patch.savecoh.com/beta.xml If you still have problems, then typical endpoint troubleshooting, reboot? Can you access other things on the internet? Any recent updates to OS or anti-virus / malware detection? Good luck, I hope you get it figured out.
Marine X Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 (edited) Also your Homecoming/Tequila Install should be in it's own folder on your hard drive, then a shortcut placed on your desktop. If it is located on the Desktop, Downloads, Documents or Program files, it may get smooshed by Windows permissions or Windows Update. MysticKing Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 I think I may have the same problem? Haven't changed anything with firewalls or any anti-virus things. I play on a MacBook Pro. I load the login screen and after trying to login in I just get this notification after a few seconds. Not sure what happened or what to do.
