Ultimo
So, I have a character, he's based on the Chinese God of Storms. When I made him years ago, he was a Defender, Storm/Electric. I recreated him here, but I'm having a heck of a time with him, he's out of endurance so fast I spend much of every fight just using the Apprentice Charm, and when he does hit enemies with his attacks, it's as if he were using a rolled up newspaper. So, I've restarted him as a Corruptor, but I've never played the class before. What do you all think? How does an Electric/Storm Corruptor compare to the Defender? Endurance issues aren't going away 😞 You can build to help with that though (Panacea, Miracle, Numina, Perf Shifter - with elec you can even throw a perf shift into some attacks to proc xD!); defender is actually a little easier IMO on a team to deal with endurance issues, though the ATO for Cor can help too... anyways... storm is generally regarded as a "better on defender" set, but I prefer Cor anyways-- a lot of damage from Storm comes from, well, storm. Specifically the later stuff in the set, and Cors dont really get more damage there than defenders, so defenders tend to win out.

My thinking was, the Corruptor should do somewhat more damage (Scourge), so enemies die sooner, costing less endurance.
Greentea
Scourge kicks in when the enemy's HP is really low. The pet, Voltaic Sentinel, do Scourge too as well, but you have to keep summoning him. Unlike trollers/mm/doms, he only stays for like one minute, and expensive to cast.

Storm is one of the few sets that's just mathematically stronger on a defender - better -res debuffs and Lightning Storm does more damage. None of the storm pets trigger Scourge, so it's tipped slightly towards defenders. Elec just isn't very hard-hitting, though. If you want to vary it a bit, I found storm/water exceptionally powerful from pretty early on and the two sets have very good synergy. The difference between the two isn't nearly as much as people assume. Storm is a weird set because in higher levels it does more damage on a defender (it's a primary power set so the numbers are higher apart from Tornado, which is the same). Solo, the difference between the two is pretty slim (from Vigilance) and in teams the better -res debuff from storm evens it out pretty much. Defenders also get an endurance discount from teaming. Ultimo
I've gone back to the Defender. Got the Corruptor to around L15 (the Defender is 21), but it just "felt" wrong... my noble, paternal Chinese Thunder God... a CORRUPTOR? Nope, had to go back to the Defender. Mechanically, the Defender was better off, too. Both classes are somewhat squishy, and the Corruptor has almost no defense of any kind until L20, when he gets Hurricane. Defenders get that MUCH earlier... so he's way more survivable. If only there was a class that used Storm and War Mace...
