Water / Kin Build Help

Hello everyone!  I am hoping that some of you may be able to help me out with this Water/Kin build.  This is my first go at slotting a 50 myself so I could use some guidance.  Any help is appreciated.  It should be noted that I will be concentrating on PVE content, not farming or PVP.

Thanks for the reply!  I have a couple of questions few questions.

1.  Wouldn't Kick with Force Feedback be better than Boxing ?

2. Why all the powers and slots in Mystic Flight ?

3. Is Hasten necessary when we have Siphon Speed?  Yes the buff on Hasten is 70% but is it worth the pool choice over something like Stealth that can offer Def and be a LotG mule

3. In a PVE build, why would Maneuvers have more slots than Hydro Blast.  I assume for Def cap but how much of an impact?

4. What's a good path for Incarnates ?  I have been thinking Alpha: Musculature, Judgement: Pyronic, Interface: Reactive, Lore: Banished, Destiny: Ageless, Hybrid: Assault

 

I have read some of your builds from that thread and it inspired some of my choices, but I don't really intend to farm with this guy - some of the info has been useful though.

I have read some of your builds from that thread and it inspired some of my choices, but I don't really intend to farm with this guy - some of the info has been useful though.

1. No, you will never actually use boxing or kick. Superior blistering cold is giving 5% s/l defense and so that is very efficient for my s/l/R softcap build. You could use kick instead, but its a mule and should never be used. Boxing was first on the list, so its there. 

 

2. I think you mean in sorcery and we only take mystic flight because we need two powers to get rune of protection and the extra knockback protection is available. I think it is also faster than my jetpack, so I use it for times when I need more than the ninja run jump. We take spirit ward because it is a one slot wonder to give us the absorb proc, which is active even if we don't use it, and we can use it in an emergency where transfusion isn't enough I guess (this has never happened to me). We take rune of protection because it gives us Mez protection (never get held or at least we can break free with it) and it gives us a ton of resist, rune of protection is really really good and I wish it lasted 2 minutes instead of 90 seconds (it would be perma then at absolute max recharge, but not many builds can reach that). 

 

3. Yes, you are talking about trading 70% recharge for 3% defense to all and 7.5% recharge. Hasten is better in every single way. Recharge is incredibly valuable to a kin, it means more fulcrum shifts and thus more opportunities to cap your damage AND more T9 nukes at the damage cap. Take hasten. Always take hasten. 

 

2nd 3. Hydro blast is at 89% damage with those 3 slots and so it is on the cusp of being red for diminishing returns, but most of the time we are at the damage cap anyway so why would I want more slots wasted on it? Those 3 slots also give us more max endurance (and recovery through that) and 10% recharge, in terms of efficient slotting I'm not sure there is a better deal. 

 

4. Musculature does almost nothing for a kin (it would only be helpful in drawn out AV fights). Take agility core alpha, reactive radial interface, ageless core destiny, assualt radial hybrid, pyrro core judgement, and whatever you like for Lore (but I like the banished radial for the -res rain). 

 

P.S. Take repel as I have slotted it, it offers great knockdown mitigation and good recharge through the FF proc. Its very good. 

 

The top build posted there right now is not for farming, I use my fire/kin/flame build for that. The top build posted is for all content and it can solo missions in cimorra at +4x8. The water/kin build I posted here is also for all content and can do the same.
