Movement options with mouse?

Hi. I played COH back in the day and just found out about homecoming.  So here I am again.  And it is great to be back.

But I remember movement as being easier than this.  I'm sure I could move with a mouse click and manoeuvre fairly seamlessly by moving the mouse itself. Am I remembering correctly? I'm having real issues at the moment.. keep running into walls and stuff.

My left mouse button gives me movement in a straight line to a certain spot which is really not working for me. I just can't remember what i did to get moving correctly (using the mouse primarily.)

Can someone please advise as to the best way to move and manoeuvre seamlessly?

Thanks in advance.

Click Menu , Options, KeyMapping

Your Movement Options can be set there. Also View right below that.

Menu Options Controls, there are some Options there to adjust as necessary. I always make sure Look Up and Down is set to Free Look. Free Camera Movement is Enabled.

Hope this helps.

Maybe you were using MouseChord (simultaneously pressing the left and right mouse button) back then?  MouseChord will toggle a forward_mouse command. So, your character will continuously move forward. Then, you can steer by holding RMB while dragging your mouse. Press MouseChord again to toggle off forward_mouse.
