Grenade Powerset/Pool

I don't like how so many existing sets offer different powers as you advance, when what I really want is more effectiveness for existing ones. Having hundreds and hundreds of powers is cool, but sometimes I just want to upgrade something I already have instead.

 

So this is super simple(ish):

1.  Grenade

   • single target grenade. Explodes under the target.

2. Advanced Grenade

   • requires 1.
   • replaces 1 with a small AoE grenade.

3. Superior Grenade

   •  requires 2.
   •  replaces 2 with bigger AoE grenade.
4. Grenade Spread
   • requires 3.
   • replaces 3 with lots of grenades, each doing an AoE.
5. Maybe reduce cooldown on it or change damage type or whatever.

 

This isn't the most sophisticated of sets, but it offers advancement via investment, rather than suggesting to players that they should DIP into the pool for one or two powers.

 

Let's bear in mind that many superheroes/supervillains seem to be one-trick ponies, so having one power that changes a lot as the character progresses is quite appropriate.
