KingsGambit
Hi all, I finally finished my tanker build today and wanted to share it on here for anyone interested. I played this character back on live and she was the first I resurrected on Homecoming. This build is very polished, and the resulting character is a fun, indestructible tanker. Some points to note: Pros - Softcapped (~55%) positional defences. - No purple sets used - 57.5% permanent recharge bonus - No stamina issues and excellent health regen - Mace has many knockup attacks - Almost softcapped Smashing/Lethal resists. (Pines lists it as over 90%, but in game it's 85% and I can't tell why). 35% other resists, 20% psi - Very high accuracy Cons - Despite no purples, still isn't cheap. - Does use all ATOs, including 12 catalysts. Other notes: - Has 5x LotG global recharge IOs - Grant Cover is flexible. It can be swapped for something else if preferred. Examples include Stealth (or Super Speed), which combined with +Stealth IO in Sprint adds some flexibility to missions. - Sciroccos Dervish could be swapped for another set. Obliteration could be put in and a purple set in another PBAoE ability. - The slotting for Health, Stamina and Physical Perfection could be reduced if desired, tho it isn't strictly necessary. - Abilities were picked at specific levels (attacks in particular were chosen as soon as they became available). This way gives the best experience while exemplared down. - Incarnate abilities can be changed. For Alpha, I chose Vigor over Cardiac because while both have endurance red., the other two bonuses were more useful (accuracy in particular). Rebirth gives the character something desperately lacking, a self-heal. Paralytic Interface to reduce enemies' damage output for those few hits that may get thru. Hybrid, choose damage since it doesn't need any more survivability. Lore and Judgement is down to personal taste. - Might of the Tanker could be slotted in a different ability. It could be particularly well suited to an AoE ability as more enemies hit increases the chance to proc the +Res. I chose clobber since it's the hardest hitting and is on a good cooldown anyway. Interested in feedback but wanted to share this build with the community. This character is a thrill to play, highly resilient and a boon to any team. It's great to play her again after many years. ;D Click this DataLink to open the build! LorannaPyrel
Haven't looked at your build yet, but I believe I can account for the discrepancy between Pine's record of your resists and the game's. Pines is, most likely, taking your Might of the Tanker proc into account, adding one stack of +6% resist to your resists, which will hardcap your s/l. Check your Pines and see if the Clobber power has a little green light lit in the upper right corner; that will indicate that Pines is taking the proc's effects into account. - Loranna

It's pretty reliable so it's almost always up, for the difference it makes.
Narninian
What's neat about this build is you could play it with attuned enhacements starting around level 27. (and upgrade the ATOs when you level cap) I'd be interested to see what changes you might make if budget wasn't a consideration, though. (Basically how you'd incorporate more purples/frozen sets for an even stronger build)
