Hi JJ! Been floating around looking for either a scrapper, brute or tanker build that is either MA/Dark or MA/Regen with the new changes to both! Looking for something that'd be able to handle +4/8x solo for the most part, but I will have friends joining me here and there,

 

I am leaning mostly towards scrapper as I've been reading about the Tanker nerfs and the fact that most people do not seem very happy with the Brute playstyle atm. I'm not a huge fan of the fury chase myself, but it's not a deal-breaker.

 

Any suggestions? Closest I've seen is a Dark/MA tanker build but does not take into account the new changes to Dark Armor. If this could somehow be adapted to Scrapper, I'd be happy!

Honestly, after re-reading. Folks need cut back on the Doom & Gloom.  Those "nerfs" are not shit to begin with.  A Tanker's job is to tank and live.  Scrapper/Stalker/Brute's job is to hurt.  Fast, to Faster, to Eventually WTF(Brute).   Tanks have been out performing other melee's overall while having massive survival skills.  Sure other Scrappers (randomly) or Stalkers (Specifically) can out burst them with those buffs. The Tanker buffs kept them going with consistency.

 

While Brutes were playing catch up to a point. Sure they overall will deal higher constant damage, but a lot times need an outside buffing force for that. 

 

Folks need to calm their tits over this.

Hmmm, didn’t even think about doing a MA/Dark Stalker instead of a scrapper! Would this be able to handle +4/x8 solo as well? I actually never played a stalker so that’s in interesting idea!

Would it be possible to look at a Scrapper version of the MA/Dark? I really like Dragon's Tail as a skill aesthetically and in use for AoE. I'm assuming it's very similar but trading out the ATO's for the scrapper ones?

Hey JJ,

I'm looking for some options for a carry build to play with my 2 kids who have no idea what they are doing. They are both blasters but combined I'd consider them .5 of a player 😆

 

We just do leveling together through contact missions, nothing fancy. Which probably is different from other builds requested, trying to get the best combo to level carry. Although perhaps I just get myself leveled up to the mid 30s and then side kick them up there?

 

I'm hoping there are more options than just a tank or brute, but if not that's ok.

Thank you for the scrapper version! I did notice that at least in-game, I cannot slot Obscure Sustenance with Theft of Essence. Any suggestions on this? Was thinking either Numina's or Panacea instead
