KM/EA build review

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am looking for input on my KM/EA build since I've never played a stalker to 50 before. This build is slightly overcapped in S/L/E/F/C defense in exchange for falling 6% short of the S/L resistance cap but I don't see a way to fix that. I read everything I could off these forums including Croax's builds which I think gave me a solid foundation but I still have some questions:

- Is it worth proccing out any of my attacks? I figured no, since the AT is so reliant on its crit mechanics.

- Where is the best place to slot the ATO sets?

- Is there a standout APP? I really wanted Energy Torrent for theme but if there is a set that towers above the rest I might consider switching.

- Is Concentrated Strike still bad? Originally I had it in the build but swapped it for FB to have a ranged option which I think might be more useful in the long run.

I like CS. It's a proc monster which helps makes up for it's poor dpa. It also provides a controlled BU on top of the random recharge from the ATO2. I like adding a snipe to help with KM's dps. Moonbeam or Zapp for their exotic damage types. Mace Beam is partially smashing and probably has a redraw.

Video from live. 160s, 367 dps. Attack Chain: [BU]-AS-CS-SB-[BU]-AS-BB-Mb-SB-repeat:

Tested KM on HC but remade the build with SR on Beta. SR provided enough recharge to drop BB and use SB three times in the chain. 120s, 447 dps. Attack Chain: [BU]-AS-CS-SB-[BU]-AS-SB-Mb-SB-repeat:

I'm not sure how the proc'd snipes will perform now since the change. If I remember right, snipe's 24s CD was changed to an internal 12s CD. So procs will activate less frequently.

I would slot the ATO2 into a QS or BB. Once the ATO2 is used once (In any mission/zone), it becomes universal so all attacks can proc it. So if it's slotted in QS, QS used, Burst/AS/Energy torrent etc all have a chance to recharge BU until you exit the mish.

As for the ATO1, I usually split it to either get +10% S/L def, or the hide proc in AS and the rest in another power for the +10% recharge. Keeping all ATO1s together (In AS) is the way to go if building for survivability. Good luck! I like your overall build and it will perform well for you.

I'm pretty sure they reverted that "internal recharge" change.  I remember testing when it was on beta and it wasn't much worse though.

I ended up benching this character because the 4-attack chain was a little too repetitive for me, but here is the build for anyone else thinking about this combo since it did perform very well:
