Currently, I have a level 42 Ice/Stone Scrapper.  I love Ice Melee and I love the new Stone Armor, but Mud Pots' lack of taunt aura has finally worn me down .  I don't really like Geode, so I'm not exactly sold on a Stalker either.  Thus, I want to reroll as a Brute or Tanker.  I do not want to focus on Granite, but like it as an option for maybe a secondary build.

So, who wears it best?

I love both as well, but I’d say Ice/Stone is a straight upgrade on a Stalker. You lose a poor DPS move on Ice on a Scrapper for Assassin’s Strike. Should be a great combo.

Stalker due to dropping a low DPS attack for AS. Brute since Fury loves DoT.

Here's my current Brute build with Incarnates added in. I went all in on surviving. I find damage still to be decent enough. I might at some point rework it to balance out the numbers a bit, but at least this is a starting point. And yes, I would love more slotting for EE.  It kind of bugs me, but again, I would have to rework the build to change it. This is oddly enough based on Croax's Stalker version. I soloed it 1-50 on red side and modified as I went along. I think after a 4th pass, I stopped counting any additional looks I gave it. It is currently T3ed sans Lore and so far I am rather happy with it.

P.S. I soloed Council +4/x8 at 48. Ice Patch was not even needed. Not recommended, but it can be done. Soloed +4/x8 a mission with killing non-AV LR. One death due to henchmen spam and misclicking Melee as I fully clicked on it versus toggling it. That was before everything was T3 sans Lore, but I think one thing was T2. Kind of a blur in the playing so it might have been already T3ed.

Okay that does make a Stalker tempting.  I hadn't even checked but just assumed Frost would be out for AS.  GIS is such a frustrating power.  It feels necessary at lower levels/exemping but it's, like, impressively bad.

I would be tempted to skip Ice Patch on a Brute anyway, tbh.  And probably would on a Tanker.  My Scrapper rarely ever needs it to survive and my build isn't even finished. As it stands, I'm much more likely to use it prevent things from running away, which wouldn't be a problem for a Brute/Tanker in the first place.

Anyway, thanks for the build!

Since I soloed my way to 50, I can't fathom skipping Ice Patch. I had a mission where I had to hunt things which were +4/+5 to me. Plus, even if you team, there is the safety of your teammates.
