Game loads with only pink/orange screen with sound

Hello all, 

 

I am brand new to the game and was able to download City of Heroes homecoming using Tequila on my own PC with no issues. But I tried to do the exact same thing on my bf’s laptop and after many times installing/reinstalling, the game loads but there’s only a solid pink/orange screen with a cursor. I can hear the game music and move the cursor around but the login page won’t come up. The laptop is Windows 10 Home and 2 years old. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Does the laptop have multiple GPUs?  Some have a 2D "normal use" GPU, and a dedicated gaming one.  Can you provide the make & model of the laptop?

Thank you so much for your help! The laptop is a Legion 5 with AMD Ryzen processor. Sorry I’m not too savvy, is this the right info? I will also try the settings.

OK, it's a Lenovo laptop.  Check out this article, as it may help.

Just out of curiosity, was it setting the laptop to use the discrete GPU or updating the drivers that did the trick?  Either way, I'm happy to hear you got it working!  Cheers!
