Grav/Earth Dominator build

I've been looking for builds that feature Grav/Earth, but haven't really found many hits, so I tried my hand at it, and would like someone more well versed in the dominator AT to add their take.


The build is as follows:

Originally, I went for mace mastery, but I feel like there's more interesting options in Ice Mastery. I'm really feeling how slot hungry the AT is trying to build with ice though.


Specifically, I've got the following concerns:

- I've seen many builds run two Rech. Red. in hasten, but it seems that perma-hasten is doable with one, or am I missing something?

- Is this too much defense for a dominator? Am I better off just slotting something else (like Gravity Distortion)?

- I really like propel as a power, but how does it perform in 50+ content? Am I better off dropping it for something like Ice Storm?

- I've tried to balance ranged and melee defense, but is one more important that the other?


Any and all feedback is welcome, even if it doesn't pertain to the concerns above. If you have another Grav/Earth take, feel free to add it! 🙂

I've got a Grav/Savage Dom and a Storm/Grav Controller.  I've mostly soloed them, and have unlocked all their incarnates. 


I would drop Rune of Protection.  You are going for Permadom, you don't need the status protection.  Personally, I would replace it with Enflame.  On my Storm Controller, I will do Gravity Distortion Field to teleport foes into a corner, put Enflame on one, and then proceed to take them out.  I also like putting other AoEs there for when they are dropped in.  You can also put enflame on your Singularity.


I would six slot Gravity Distortion and put the Dominator IO (Ascendency of the Dominator) set in it that procs additional damage.  You can have up to three of that proc going.  Again, with both my doms, I soloed them and I would use that power as soon as it recharged, especially since it added damage to my other attacks.


Put two recharge in hasten, you will not get it permanent with one.  I would also take hasten earlier, my doms had permadom in their 40s.
