Recommended Corrupter for a new player

I played way back in the day, and dont even remember what i had fun on. I really like Corrupters so was looking for some recommended builds to try. TY!

I have a lot of fun on my Water/Cold

Fire/kin or ice/cold are great because you get invites.

Water/Kin is a lot of fun (Fulcrum Shift + 4 area attacks) and teams loves the buffs.

I have maybe a dozen or so Corruptors of various powerset combinations.

 

I suggest the following combos in no particular order, they are all amazing:

• Fire/Cold/Dark
• Ice/Dark/Dark
• Water/Storm/Dark
• Elec/Kin/Soul

 

Its hard to be beat Dark Mastery on a Corruptor, the Kin doesn't need The damage of Soul Drain, as it has Fulcrum, so it goes for the shortest recharging power boost for massive end drains.

 

The primaries/Secondaries are largely interchangeable as Ice/Cold, Fire/Kin, Elec/Storm, and Water/Dark and pretty much any other iterations can be built extremely well.

 

I typically suggest for Corruptors leaning into melee/ranged/energy/negative energy defense, while pairing tough and a resistance based usually Dark Embrace to give a decent resistance basis, as your defenses to the above named defense types can be brought up typically close to or at the 45% threshold pre incarnates using IOs.

 

It also depends on what you want to do with your toon as well, what kind of content you're aiming for.
