After updating yesterday, a weird un-close-able tray appeared

Hi Devs, I'm making this post on the advice of GM Crumpet who tried helping me to no avail. This happened after the update yesterday. First thing I did, after the update, was to create a new character in Excelsior. It was then that I noticed the weird tray.

 

Screenie1 shows you character creation first appearing in Outbreak. It should not have that weird tray on the right, yes? On this screenshot, that weird tray is shown as <1> tray.

 

Screenie2 shows a very weird behaviour when I click on the left and right arrows on that weird tray to change the tray number. On this screenie, the weird tray had been clicked to become <2> tray. You see that 'Sprint' on default tray (the one with attached Inspiration tray) had been activated? Guess how I activated 'Sprint'? It was Alt-4, not merely 4 on the keyboard. That's right, that weird tray caused Alt- function to go wonky.

 

Screenie3 continues that weird bevaviour into Ctrl- as I clicked that weird tray into <3>. By right, pressing 1 on the keyboard should have activated 'Twilight Grasp' on the default tray. But nope; now pressing 1 had activated 'Prestige Power Slide' because it had occupied the #1 slot on that weird tray <3>. That's not supposed to happen, yes?

 

By right, when you right-click on extra trays, a pop up menu would appear, giving you choices of Vertical, 2x6, 3x4, 4x3, 6x2, Horizontal, Lock Powers in Trays, Lock Tray Numbers, Close Tray. BUT right-clicking on that weird tray (<3> tray in Screenie 3) did not pop up any menu at all. 

 

Screenie4 shows another weird presentation. See the difference between 'normal tray' vs 'weird tray'? The numbering on the 'weird tray' literally falls outside the tray itself! Screenie5 tests you whether you could spot Default Tray versus +Extra Tray versus Weird Tray.

 

Why am I so pissed with this weird tray?

Because it messed up my Alt- and Ctrl- keyboard functions! And its un-close-able!

 

Have I tried to make it disappear?

Of course I had! Had tried all of the below to no avail:

• Options > Reset window
• Options > Load from default settings file
• /window_resetall
• /window_close_extra
• /wdw_load
• /wdw_loadfile myfriendfile.txt
• Even comparing window settings file against my buddy's (both looked the same)

 

Any other weirdness observed?

On another character, that weird tray was NOT re-shape-able. No matter how many times I right-clicked, no menu popped up. No matter how much I hovered my mouse over the edges of that weird tray, I was not able to drag it into some other shapes. ONLY after I used /wdw_load that the screen defaulted back to Screenie1 that the mouse cursor changed when I hovered at the edge of the weird tray -- before that, it was NOT re-shape-able.

 

Did this occur on this particular character only?

As mentioned above, this weird tray happened across board. Across servers. Now all my characters got it. Pls tell me how to close this weird tray. Thank you, god. Have mercy on me.

 

Does this quality for Bug Hunter badge?

There's no screenshot so I'm wondering does it look like this and you can't reshape it?

 

 

If so that's the Razer Naga Mouse Tray and you can turn it off via Menu - Options - Controls - Razer Naga Mouse Tray (it's the very last option)

Thanks summers, and you're absolutely right! Weird the update auto enabled this for me (and apparently only me). Problem resolved. Mods, pls close topic. Thanks!
