Meknomancer Posted March 24, 2023 Share Posted March 24, 2023 I'm guessing experimentation is themed otherwise that'd be out, if your chasing perma PA and the defence numbers you'd be better off with fighting so you could toss the +defence pieces in tough, i'm not sure you need all the s/l defence, maybe better off with a res shield and just hitting 45% ranged. If you don't mind giving up some procs and shuffle some stuff you can pretty much hit perma PA. I haven't tried the combo, if i did i'd probably go something like this, ranged def, high s/l res, some e res, perma PA, ignore the bubble attacks (i know they do - res now but with PA its not really an issue) and just sit back and let the pets do everything for me. With perma PA you instantly get options in your alpha- you aren't force picked into agility/spiritual, now you can go musc/intuition for extra damage for pets. Mu Mastery actually sounds like a decent fit, and I always appreciate more pets. I will run it through MIDS when I come home, and maybe tweak it for some Overpowering Presence and see what it does. But overall it may just get me to where I want to be. Thank you. EDIT: Still waiting for the last IOs to fall out of the auctionhouse, but so far this is as advertised. It plays exactly as intended, and is going to be even mor efun when fully assembled. I made a few minor adjustments for theme, at the cost of a few fractional % of optimization. Overall, fun build for the 1st Illusion Controller I have seriously taken to the shop. Hocus Pocus Posted April 7, 2023 Share Posted April 7, 2023 (edited) I believe I may be the only one that main's an Ill / FF controller (Hocus Pocus on Everlasting). 😉 I've done so ever since live and have tweaked and honed the build over years. My suggestion is to lean heavily into ranged defense, making sure your above 45%. Also recharge to get perma Phantom Army. I also wouldnt bother much the single target shield bubbles, at the high end, no one really needs them. Also you'll be at range usually, so your ranged 45% makes you very hard to hit - so the fighting pool is not the best use of precious powers. If your looking for the recharge proc for KB - I'd suggest putting it into repulsion shield which is a toggle - hence always on (when hitting foes).
