Did This Answer Your Question? (Why did I get this email?)

Recommended Posts

Received an e-mail today about a thread I started here:

There has not been a reply to the thread since May 29th; received the email today.  Pretty sure I do not have any settings (nor have I seen any) asking for email updates to my threads or posts.

Is this some new switch that got turned on when forums were touched for our new reactions?

If it is a setting I can turn off, could someone point me in that direction?

Thx.

I get these spam notices all the time even though I have them disabled everywhere I know how.  There is a post somewhere that talks about the spam issues.

You can check in your account > account settings > notification settings (its near the bottom,  scroll down).

There are choices for email once a week or just forum notifications and notifications based on whether or not you are following certain threads.

Went ahead and double-checked these settings moments ago to confirm my memory.

Nothing should be sending me an email from any activity what-so-ever. All of the options available are set to not do so. The few things I have setup to notify should only do so by marking the globe at the top of the page on these forums. Automatic following is (always has been) turned off. Turns out I had been following four ancient threads each with no activity in double-digit months; they are no longer being followed just in case.

🤷‍♂️ 🍻

Will update this thread in the event I receive another email about it. 🤣
