Steampunkette
On live I had a permalight PB. It was THE BEST. I loved being able to throw out big AoEs and heavy impact melee attacks without feeling like I was going to fall over if someone came out of CC. Unfortunately, I don't remember what my build exactly was, other than knowing I had permanent Lightform. So. I tried to recreate that build in Pines and also went ahead and specced it to have a static 99% Damage increase. I figured with permahasten and permalight I'd be able to throw out a lot more overall damage that way. I also went ahead and specced high into Accuracy and ToHit so that even when enemies pop shields or other defenses I'd be able to keep landing hits and ensure their defense kept getting lowered so my teammates can keep smashing their faces in. I realize Group Fly is often looked at as a cringe power, and I'm clearly not building for Softcap Defense, here. But I do wind up with 4 magnitudes of protection to almost every mez type and spend between 55% and 25% under control effects that do overcome my status resistance. Take a look and tell me what you think? Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! Orivon
Hey dude! I like the build! I think you could put that panacea proc into health that way a power is always on to proc it. You could also put the performance shifter proc into stamina. I took Glinting Eye because gleaming bolt has really low damage but it's one or the other so...lol Glinting Eye in nova form does more damage right now than my bright nova blast lol. You could also put Luck of the Gambler Defence/7.5% Global Recharge IO into Combat Flight, Quantum Acceleration and I took combat jumping/stealth/grant invis pool powers for my max of 5 LotG. All of my heals also have a 5 panacea set for the 7.5% recharge as well. (The panacea recharge 7.5% and LotG 7.5% do have different texts so you can stack 5 of each if you're build allows for it for lots of easy +recharge)
Orivon
Also, our PBs don't have a lot of Psi res, so depending on what you want to do, you can build it in with set IOs. I have 50% psi res on my guy and Capped res for everything else so I can take stuff from any source (looking at you Carnies/Arachnos). The Impervium Armor +6% psi res is not a unique so you can have 5 of those (30% psi right there). The ful Impervium Armor set bonus gives you 4.5% (so all together 10.5% psi res). Aegis has one as well, although that one is a unique but it does provide +5% and 20% mez protection. I probably wouldn't slot the Rez and give those slots to the shields or 6 slot an attack for a proc IO.
Orivon
Last thing I just thought of, take a look at the Kheldian ATOs. A Superior Kheldian's Grace will give you 10% recharge, a damage and accuracy bonus, and psi/toxic res. Only 3 of the Superiour Essence Transfer will give you 10% recharge as well. You could also use the regular Essence Transfer 3 slot for the 6.25% recharge. Kinda nice that way since PBs are usually low on slots and if you're going for recharge you only need 3 slots in two powers. You can also throw a 6th slot into a PBAoE power like Solar Flare/Dawn Strike and put the Fury of the Gladiator chance for -Res proc which can help up your damage. Rilude
Thanks for the above build! @Orivon, Any chance you could post your revision to this build? I'm looking at one of my active sets to be a human only PB @Rilude

I'm looking at one of my active sets to be a human only PB Sure! I'm at work currently, but I'll work on it later! :D I do have a post of my Tri-Form build in which I used these things. dtj714
I'd like to accomplish something similar myself - perma lightform and perma hasten for basically a perma wrecking-ball :) However, I never played a PB before (my current is 31 and I love it), and I have no experience at all with set IOs and bonuses. So, I'm hoping some of you knowledgeable people can point me in the right direction. Here are the power choices and slotting that I would prefer/presume: Luminous Blast - Note: all attacks 6 slotted for max acc/dmg then rech/endred Glinting Eye Gleaming Blast Radiant Strike Inner Light - 3 slot for max rech Incandescent Strike Solar Flare Luminous Aura Incandescence - 1 slot def Energy Flight - 3 slot for max fly speed Shining Shield - 4 slot for max res then endred Essence Boost - 3 slot for max rech Thermal Shield - 4 slot for max res then endred Combat Flight - 1 slot Quantum Shield - 3 slot for max res (2 res here plus res from Inc.) then endred Reform Essence - 3 slot for max heal Quantum Acceleration - 3 slot for max fly cap Conserve Energy - 3 slot for max rech Light Form - 6 slot for max rech then ? Restore Essence - 4 slot for max heal then rech (or other way around) Quantum Flight - 4 slot for max fly then rech or endred (not sure how this power works - does it give you max flight speed right off the bat? Does it even need fly enh?) Power Pools/Inherents Stamina - 3 slot for max recovery (maybe not strictly necessary with boost from LF, but want to make sure no End issues so can have on all toggles and sustain continuous attacks) Assault - 1 slot Tactics - 3 slot for max tohit Hasten - 3 slot for max rech Recall Friend - 1 slot Teleport - 1 slot Long Range TP - 1 slot All others as normal with 1 slot So, do you think I could get to perma hasten and perma LF given the above powers and slotting (along with decent psi/mez resists)? Or where would adjustments need to be made? Also, if I understand correctly, you need about 95% global recharge in order to get perma hasten. Given the duration/recharge ratios on hasten and lightform, I assume that achieving perma status on the former gets you to perma status on the later. Finally, if you have 95% global recharge, plus 70% from hasten, then you have 165%, which stacks on top of whatever you have slotted in the powers? There's no total haste cap? Orivon
Welcome to the awesome world of Kheldians! Check out my build for some IO tips. I have capped HP, Res to all but psi (my Psi res is at 50%). I've made LF, Hasten, Essence Boost, and Inner Light all perma. Take a look at some of the stuff I did with the IOs and I can explain anything if you have questions :D https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,5139.0.html You don't really need to add any fly enhancements because Energy Flight + Quantum Acceleration + Swift is already at cap. I wouldn't put anything in there except maybe a IO proc like Freebird Stealth or Winter's Gift. I use Quantum Flight as an "oh shit" power. For instance, I'm not paying attention and my LF crashes and I start taking lots of damage, I just pop that to recover health and get my LF going again and then phase back into the fight. It really doesn't need anything but the basic slot and maybe and EndRedux. The phase only lasts 30s and then you're locked out for 30s. There is a recharge cap of 400% which you won't really ever reach unless you're on a league or something and there's a bunch of Rads, Time, Kinetics peeps buffing you. My PB currently has 142.5% global recharge before Hasten (then 212.5%). You can now use the eye beam attacks in nova form and they do more damage then the 'blast" power so it's a good power to take first for human or nova attack chain. My vote for you to start is get your guy up to 50, see what powers you really enjoy using and focus on those first, even using just basic IOs. When you get into sets the slotting changes dramatically. Like in my build I only have Inner Light and Hasten with the default slot and one recharge IO. I can save those other 4 slots for other bonuses. I built mine guy for lots of recharge so LF overlaps (because there is a crash that brings your HP and End to 50%) and then I built for Psi res so I can tank pretty much anything (even in nova form). The attacks you took from the primary are pretty much the human attacks I like to use too. Photon Seeks and Dawn Strike are worth taking too. Consider both of them to be PBAoE attack-mini nukes. Dawn strike recharges pretty fast for me too. I would slot your heals for the most recharge and heal you can get. At least until you have more recharge built into your build. We only have resistance and no basic psi res but having the heals up more means you can take more. Essence boosts' +HP is huge in keeping you alive too. I wouldn't slot the rez that much because hopefully you're not dying, and if you do, it's just to get you back up on your feet. PBs have so many powers our slots are very important. Without typing too much I hope this helps a little. =] -Orivon
dtj714
So I finally got around to downloading Pines and created a theoretical build. Wasn't as difficult as I expected. Anyway, here it is below, would appreciate any feedback. Please note that the Sorcery powers are just placeholders for Recall Friend Teleport, and LR Teleport, since Pines still doesn't allow PB's to take that pool. Edit - One particular concern I have with this build is Endurance. Even with the recovery rate, given the very short recharge rates, I wonder if it will be able to keep up. You can see that I've 3 slotted Performance Shifter. How good is the proc from that, and how does it work? Is it a chance for it it every tic of recovery?
