Those devoured earth are awful oily...Takes a lot of soap to get the grease off after fighting them...Not to mention the thorns... Seriously, that is badly written Vicious/Viscous seem to get mixed up a lot. Famously, there's a weapon in WoW called "Viscous Axe".
