Hi all, this is my first attempt at putting together a build for my Electric Melee/Shield Defense toon. This is the best balance I could find to have positional softcap(Melee, Ranged, AOE), while having the most possible amount of dmg, low end use from toggles, and perma hasten.

 

I could add in a Reactive Defenses for the 3% resist to all, in place of a luck of the gambler - def/end on weave, but it lowers other several areas that are undesired. The invis and stealth are LotG mules instead of going into leadership since the toggles would be too endurance intensive.

 

I'm not sure if I'll have endurance issues with this build. Any help and critiques are greatly appreciated, thanks.

I'll open this up when I get home tonight and look at it in detail, so you may have already done this, but if not I suggest adding the Alpha Slot into your build since it comes so quickly. That particular Incarnate power is worth planning for at this point for end game builds that use a lot of sets. Alpha slot makes a significant difference and you will have it sooner rather than later if you spend any time playing at level 50.

Thanks looking forward to your suggestions. Yeah, I incorporated all the incarnates into the overall build, minus the lore since that wouldn't directly affect it.

 

They are shown all the way at the bottom, the rebirth radial is an activated toggle I believe, which affects the HP regen so just de-toggle that to see the HP regen without it.

Some suggestions

 

1. I'd put Superior Critical Strikes in Thunderstrike since you'll be using that power significantly more than Charged Brawl.

 

2. I feel Defelction is underslotted. You can get over 19% defense from that power plus other set bonuses. It will also open up other slotting possibilities for Lightning Rod. Reactive Defense is an excellent set to use there.

 

I made some tweaks and moved some slots around just for some ideas. I like your build a lot. My changes result in less regen, but more smash/lethal resist, slightly better end management, and a little more recharge. But I wouldn't use my version for a final build myself. There's more defense than needed, especially AoE, and you could probably get a bit more resist if you give up some recharge(you can afford to lose about 10-12% and still keep perma hasten).

 

As far as your overall endurance, you shouldn't have too many major problems. You may need to pop a blue from time to time if you're moving really fast. Getting the accolades completely solved that for me though. So end is manageable as is, and no problem at all with the accolades.

You definitely have given me a lot to think about. I've been trying to improve the build any way possible. I'll definitely be getting all the Stat-enhancing accolades since those don't take too long to get. I'll mess around with deflection as well and see if I can save slots elsewhere.

 

For the Thunderstrike the main purpose of those enhancements were for the knockback to knockdown and also the force feedback for increased recharge chance it gave. I was looking for the most part how to get the maximum amount possible of damage while being soft capped on defense. Sort of hoping the regen would take care of the lower resists since I would mainly be using this build in teams where I don't have to tank. Essentially thinking to just AoE spam every mob we run into lol.

The primary reason I suggested moving the set to Thunderstrike is so you can have a chance at the critical strike proc as much as possible. Charged Brawl likely won't be a power you use a lot, so that will limit how often the critical proc goes off.
