So, this is a bug from live so I don't know if it's fixable but during this mission you have to rescue the freedom phalanx from a series of EB's and they are supposed to follow and help, then you use those freedom phalanx members to help you beat the Jade Spider

 

The bug is that they get stuck inside the world geometry, and even if you can get them to the jade spider the jade spider's hitbox is in the air and the freedom phalanx will simply not attack it.

That's odd. When I've run that TF, the Freedom Phalanx are the ones that destroy the Jade Spider. I can usually just stand back and watch them do it.

Well, the melees sure won't be doing much if they lack ranged attacks. However, yeah, that map is pretty bad for getting mobs stuck in various locations. Usually, if you stay just out of their happy zone (stay just where they can't lose you but have to keep trying to reach you), they keep hopping until they break free from the geometry and then rejoin you. Not ideal, and the map does need its geometry checked, but that's the best I can give you. (And since Citadel is the only EB ally on that map, yeah, that would lend to the Freedom Phalanx and Vindicators getting stomped if you didn't have him. Having all of them on hand though? Makes for an easy Jade Spider encounter.)

Completed this one solo last night. Did have multiple instances of the various Heroes getting stuck in geometry, but in each instance circling them eventually got them to break loose as they looked for a path to follow me. Annoying but I think it's less a bug and more just an issue with how pathing in the game works in general and the fact that map has a lot of things to get stuck on.

The Jade Spider fight went pretty easy, I just waited until the spider passed between islands so it was close enough for the melee folks to get in range. But it does have to be close to land, if it's in open water the hitbox does appear to be beyond the range of the melee folks.
