Need comments for my expensive Savage Melee / Bio armor Build

Hello.

I'm tweaking my main char build for some time, and can't see how I can improve it now.

I'm still at 130sec recharge for hasten (with 50+5 IOs)

I want to keep 45% S/L, 32.5% E/N/F/C

Moonbeam is not necessary, but helps me killing running away mobs. maybe I can swap it for water spout with 2 -res procs ?

teleport other is, again, not mandatory if you can bring me to perma hasten, otherwise I want to keep it.

1) With its defenses the way it's set up, using barrier will softcap s/l/e/n/f/c defenses all at once (with just the 5%).

 

2) End efficiency should be good enough to run without ageless.

 

3) Gained more recharge; you're not going to get perma-hasten on a /bio build in most cases, and it's unnecessary; you can do your rotation without needing perma-hasten.

 

Overall should be a stronger defensive build than your current iteration, with a little more recharge, and slightly better slotted attacks.

It's not so much that it's a poor performer, just that it breaks Hide, so using it for an opener is obviously bad. You typically wouldn't need it for runners either since your bleeds can handle those.

 

It really ends up as preference and even thematic reasoning to use it.

 

My understanding was that Savage Leap was a pretty poor performer on Stalkers, is that not the case?

I have a Savage Melee/Bio Stalker at 50+3 now. IO Build focused on Global Recharge and Slashing Lethal Resist

 

My thoughts:

I skipped the level 38 power.  The low recharge, and the low effect per target made it a poor survival button.  I took and slotted Shadow Meld from the Soul Master Pool instead.

I also skipped Tough/Weave in favor of the leadership pool.  I didn't feel like my defenses needed it, and I wanted tactics.  Alternately, I considered Energy Mastery and Focused Accuracy, but ultimately decided I liked Shadow Meld better.

 

Savage Leap is your 2nd tier AOE power after Slashing Rend.  It's also great movement.  I'm glad I took it.,  It is not an opener, and I don't use it on cooldown, but I often use it every group to reposition.  Being able to get inside a grouping without the awkward jump in/float on the baddies head problem is nice.

 

Difficulties: Robots.  Your damage is all lethal and toxic, you'll be able to tell when the resists are high.  Knives of Vengeance.  Ladies can you not stand all over the place so I can AOE you in an orderly fashion.

 

I've enjoyed SM/Bio greatly, and my survivability has been amazing compared to other stalkers I've played.  Much of that was back on early issue live COV so the stalker buffs, and IO changes have helped alot.  You'll still eat dirt at time, but it's no blaster.
