Fellivaril Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Just need some help slotting this out and what to fill the slots with
Uun Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Crush, Gravity Distortion and Propel should get 5-6 slots each, although personally I would drop Crush for Lift. Slotting Crushing Field for damage is a waste. It's a very low damage power. Don't skip Wormhole. It's an AoE stun that can be used just about every spawn. Temporal Mending should be 6-slotted with a Healing set. Time's Juncture doesn't need more than 3-4 slots. Distortion Field doesn't need more than 1-2 slots and should be slotted for slow and/or recharge. The hold only has a 2% chance to occur. Time Stop needs accuracy. Farsight should be 6-slotted with a Defense set. Slowed Response should be slotted with an Accurate Defense Debuff set, but you really only need to enhance accuracy and recharge. Chrono Shift can be slotted with a Healing set, or simply with 2 recharge IOs. Uuniverse
Ridiculous Girl Posted March 12 Posted March 12 this is what my grav/time set-up looks like, but it is with an unlimited budget and to my own tastes and play style. what is not shown is what i also have from the teleportation pool; teleport, teleport target, and fold space. also not shown is the three end procs in health and two in stamina; miracle +rec, numina +rec, panacea +end, with performance shifter end mod and +end. he plays right in the middle of the action, usually dropping mobs right on the tank's head or on top of the singularity. singularity has a negative repel that pulls in mobs, drawing them in, that is why i like it in the middle rather than off to the side when it follows. typical solo attack chain is... drop distortion field, wormhole to me, crushing field, teleport target to me for the singularity, then picking off mobs with propel and lift. typical team attack chain is... follow tank/brute closely, distortion field, wormhold/fold space, TP singularity to me, etc... this is the TP to me macro that i use, it can find the singularity anywhere on the map and tp to yourself with two taps on the button. /macro_image "Teleportation_Loyalist" TPsing "pet_select_name (insert pet name here with no parentheses)$$powexec_location me teleport target" "I'm not crazy, my reality is just different than yours" the Cheshire Cat "Ce n'est rien de mourir; c'est affreux de ne pas vivre" (It's nothing to die, it's terrible not to live) Jean Valjean "وطن المرء ليس مكان ولادته و لكنه المكان الذي تنتهي فيه كل محاولاته للهروب” (Home is not where you were born, home is where all your attempts to escape cease.) Riverdusk Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Yeah, I'm not usually one for telling people what powers to take or not, but no wormhole? Some powers really are signature powers for a set and wormhole is the one for gravity. 1
FreshFish96 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 This is my Grav/Time build. I'm wondering if this helps / what others think?

Slowed Response needs accuracy and recharge (or slot 3-4 pieces of an Accurate Defense Debuff set). 6-slotting Maneuvers doesn't have great returns. I would redeploy at least 3 of those slots. All the defense in Evasive Maneuvers suppresses if you attack, buff someone or click an object. Really not worth the slots, especially since Farsight should be capping your defense. Uuniverse

Gotta ask, was the Core Stats portion of the image screenshotted when you had Power Boost off? I only ask because when I was building this out myself, and making some adjustments, I came to very similar numbers without Power Boost being on. When Power Boost is on, the Defenses, except for Toxic, jump way past the soft cap. I came up with a build that keeps the powers you selected, but takes Uun's advice, and a couple of ideas of my own. Of note: -I swapped up hover to have Knockback Reduction and Slow Resistance. The Defense proc wasn't adding much here, and having both of those is helpful in my experience. -I moved the Accuracy proc to Maneuvers. As pointed out, an extra defense wasn't adding much, and an Acc proc here felt thematic. YMMV -Fly now has End/Fly since I moved the KR to hover -Slowed Response got the slots culled from Maneuvers and Evasive Maneuvers. If I were to change a power, I might change Power Boost to Tactics to get the boost to To Hit and Perception, but only if I felt I needed it. It could be slotted with a Proc (Chance for Build Up for example), an EndRed, or EndRed/ToHit according to your needs. Edit: Punctuation Edit 2: After reading another thread you posted this in, I traded out Evasive Maneuvers for Time Juncture. The overall defense values would appear, on paper, to go down, but it is offset by the fact that enemies attack slower. I slotted it with 1 Pacing of the Turtle proc, and 3 Dark Watchers, including the set proc. I just thought the idea of flooring the enemy ability to attack was funny. Time's Juncture causes foes to move more slowly, but not to attack more slowly (it has no -recharge). The -speed is pretty modest (37.5%) and largely unnoticeable unless you stack it with another slow. The real value of Time's Juncture is the 20% -dmg and 12.5% -tohit it provides. Keep in mind that -tohit stacks with defense. I generally don't bother with the -rech procs. They're 20% and 25% each respectively. That's not enough to materially alter a foe's attack chain. Also, slotting procs in toggle powers is generally not ideal, as they only have a chance to go off every 10s. If you really want to do something with -speed and -recharge, the power you want is Distortion Field. Out of the box it provides 91% -speed and 65% -recharge. 3 Uuniverse

Thank you! Do you have a mids build you could share?
