wrong game version, run patcher

I ran the validation and it finished but my client isn't updated. I can't find a patcher. What are my next steps?

If you are using a manifest-based launcher (Tequila is the most common), then it often takes some time for the manifest to be updated after a patch (we had one with today's restart). I suggest you move to the Homecoming Launcher to avoid this delay, available at this link:

UGH... I'm old and stuck in my ways and you're forcing me to change my way of starting the game... sheer cruelty! 

Less than 1 minute later and like 3 mouse clicks, up and running.

Same here but after re-validating the Tequila launcher once more, it works again!  Seems they've updated it now.

Because of this, I too, made the switch from Tequila to HC Launcher. Mental Manipulation DOES work. Go figure.
