Death in AE 2xXP

I don't know if this is a known bug or working as intended but noticed it so thought I'd report it.

 

Was in an AE mission with a friend to earn some inf and forgot I was on a character with 2xXP from START running. I did not earn inf as expected. I died and started earning inf. as well as xp. I assume I was still earning 2xXP as well.

Death turns off all powers, and 2xXP is a power.  You should have been earning Inf and normal XP while dead.
