Gizmunkey Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Hello, I havent played since live, and even then that was about over a decade ago. Is there any advice on which powerset/build would be a good starter to generate money and be able to plvl some friends? I have poked around the forums for builds but alot of them look like they are for players that have money/io already.
Maelwys Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Check out this thread for inexpensive farming builds. The short version is: make a Tanker with decent AoEs and Damage Mitigation (45% defence, plus 90% damage resistance to at least one damage type), then max out your difficulty settings and plonk yourself in an Architect Entertainment farming map with custom enemies that deal damage you're strong against. An alternative is to just level up and enjoy the game whilst completing as many story arcs as possible, then convert the merit rewards to influence (by exchanging them for enhancement converters/boosters and selling them at the Auction House). You can replay arcs for additional rewards via the Ouroboros Flashback system. 1
Gizmunkey Posted April 1 Author Posted April 1 Thank you, that was what I was looking for. At least i can try the fire farmer and can branch out from there.
Force Redux Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Welcome back 🙂 Level any character to 50, teams and TFs are best, then use merits and rewards to with the market. Grinding AE is soul crushing for most folks. At 50 you'll make plenty of Inf just playing. @Force Redux on Everlasting ----- (read my guide) ----- Gather the Shadows: A Dark Miasma Primer for Masterminds
Gizmunkey Posted April 2 Author Posted April 2 Yeah I have gotten to lvl 25 grinding AE, then someone was offering an AE farm for sitters and I got lucky with a recipe to craft an enhancement that sold for 15 mil, so now I can craft the rest of my enhancements to get the build going. But I did start a new char to level with my wife for missions/TF to break up grinding AE lol.
