Slotting IO's/Attuned Enhancments

So I didnt get the chance to play and learn about these when servers were live first time around near the end and now I am coming to the point of needing to slot IOs into my higher level characters as I'm told by those I group with.  Im not really sure what to look for or whatever though and as far as the attuned enhancments go I attempted to purchase a couple cheaper ones (like 500k-1m inf) but they did not show up in my inventory when I claimed them from the Auction House.  I am just curious where I can find these so I can use them.  If it helps my Fire/Fire Blaster could use them the most at the moment so if I could get some examples as to what to look for that would be great.  Thanks for any help you guys supply me!

I'm not sure why they didn't show up in your inventory. The only suggestion I have is that we do have 7 enhancement trays, did you check all of them?

 

In regards to specific IO advice, the best piece of advice is to go and look at the forums for your specific AT and find some builds that people have posted there.

 

Other good resources are Pine's Hero Designer (see the sticky thread in this forum) and the paragon wiki, specifically this page:

On more specific advice, for Blasters I find that the best option is to build for ranged defense with a bit of recharge. So to start out get some Thunderstrike sets for your single target blasts and maybe 5-slot Positron's blast in your AoEs.
