It's all about the animations and their duration;  There are fire and ice breath attacks already, but they have very specific cast times.  You'd need breath animations that are properly timed for each and every attack...

yeah, but so there is more then one way to trow fire from hands too

and a "cryonic breath" that freezes a bunch of foes would be much more impressive, I think

I have no argument with you from a "wouldn't it be cool" standpoint;  It's the actual implementation that'd need work.
