malewitch40
I have an 18 Seismic/Sonic and want to respec him into a Melee. I see that Sonic has some really sweet melee powers but i do not have Mids, can someone make me a Melee build with medium rares (no 100m dollar sets) i can get money, but not that much, so some sets and ios would be preferable. If at all possible maybe with Stealth included? Moreso just looking for some help at which powers to cut from Seismic, obviously, im probably keeping Meteor, but everything else is negotiable. Any helpful builds you can come up would be appreciated. Edited August 1 by malewitch40
Snarky
seismic is a set that plays very nicely from mid to longer range. hitting just as hard but safer. sonic is a Point Blank thang. my first question is, .... are you SURE that has to be the pairing for this concept. they do not work hand in glove. they can be made to, but it is not a natural fit. What Secondarys do you think correlate better with Seismic?

The only thing awkward for me on my Seismic/Earth is I fly 99% time. It is a on the ground toon. Other than that I love the thing. Beryl Crystals will give you the edge needed for 50+4, Incarnate, and starred content. Or just make regular content so damn much easier.

Made both and tried Seismic Marine Corr for good measure.
High_Beam
Yeah, I too have a money metal Seismic/Earth and I love her but range is her jam. I like the thematic aspect of having to stay on the ground for certain bonuses, self buffs to kick in. It gives it a unique flavor that more sets could use instead of being diminished or removed by certain loud voices. Girls of Nukem High - Excelsior - Tempus Fabulous, Flattery, Jennifer Chilly, Betty Beatdown, Totally Cali, Two Gun Trixie Babes of War - Excelsior - High Beam (Yay), Di Di Guns, Runeslinger, Munitions Mistress, Tideway, Hard Melody, Blue Aria Many alts and lots of fun. Thank you Name Release For letting me get my OG main back!
Nemu
Seismic/Sonic work JUST FINE for melee oriented blasters. There's only one cone in seismic blast and the shockwave mechanic provides mitigation in melee as a knockback aura. I don't understand where this claim that the set is better suited for range is coming from. I paired Seismic Blast with electric manipulation to double down on knockdowns to mitigate incoming damage in melee. /Sonic has less soft control options but you can proc monster the crap out of all the sonic attacks for more damage. Liberty, Torchbearer, Excelsior, Everlasting Jezebel Delias Level 50 Fire/Elec/Mace Blaster I am the Inner Circle!
