Speed Freak Posted August 28 Posted August 28 (edited) I'm not..good..at making up my own builds so I'll often try to "Frankenstein" other builds together. In this case I wanted a Proc Monster TW INV Brute so I found a Procced out TW build and a Procced out INV build and got out out the saw and some glue. This went together surprisingly well, but I'm sure it could be improved. So I'm asking those of you with a clue to look it over and maybe give me some hints or tips ( or total rebuilds...) to tighten it up. Thanks in advance and thanks to the person or persons whose hard work I cannibalized to make this build. WuTang Posted September 15 Posted September 15 You want your S/L/F/C/N/NE defenses to be around 38%. This allows Invincibility to scale them to 45% (soft cap) with just one bad guy near you. I'm on a different computer or I could link my SS/Inv as an example. Look up Hyperstrike, he has some amazing starter builds for Invulnerable. Start there and tweak it for your needs. I've not done a TW, so I'm not much help there. Yeah know looking at your file, I think MIDs is having a brain fart on this PC. Somethings don't look right and aren't acting right.... I'm going to check back later on my other PC when I can get on it and look over your build there.
Without_Pause Posted September 16 Posted September 16 I see a net of .66/s difference for Recovery versus End drain with 300% recharge. Considering Invul offers no +Recharge, I'm not sure how you're pulling that off, If true, good luck with your end bar. I would at a minimum want that number doubled. You 4-slot Brute's Fury when it is far more ideal to have two instances of 3-slotting it so you double up on the 5% S/L Def. I don't know TW/invul, but the slotting is just odd. Invul is essentially a Res based set and your E/N numbers are poor. We're talking SR level of poor. I can't fathom taking all of the powers in an attack set. I just don't take Taunt on a Brute., I would get more mileage out of Combat Jumping. Top 10 Most Fun 50s. 1. Without Mercy: Claws/ea Scrapper. 2. Outsmart: Fort 3. Sneakers: Stj/ea Stalker. 4. Considering Invul offers no +Recharge, I'm not sure how you're pulling that off Two Force Feedback Procs (one in Titan Sweep, another in Whirling Slash) plus Hasten. And an Agility Alpha slot to boot. To be fair, after you detoggle Superjump, Sprint and Tactics and swap the Def/Rech in Weave to a Def/EndRed the Recovery rises to +1.67; but the build still has a fair bit to go. With one foe in Invincibility range it's currently looking like this: Ideally Defense to all damage types here should be 45% or above; and S/L Resistance should be capped (90% is fine, but 100% is better as you ignore debuffs). Alternatively, you can push Resistance to other things higher and leave Defenses a smidge lower (so that you can lean on Barrier and/or keep a few more foes within range of Invincibility to hit the softcap) but IMO that approach goes much better on a Tanker - with lower base numbers and no helpful ATOs, getting Brute resistances high enough to justify it simply requires too much sacrifice elsewhere in the build. If all you want is MOAR DAMAGE then start with 2x Acc/Dam HOs and 4x Damage Procs in every attack (or even 5-6 damage procs and 0-1x Acc/Dam HO if you can swing the Accuracy requirements to cap your ToHit chance vs whatever you're fighting) and work up from there... although in that case /SR might be a better choice than /INV. Without_Pause Posted September 16 Posted September 16 I tend not to detoggle those things on any of my builds and still get them to having 1.2 or so advantage in End. While I get the point, it is still incredibly low for a build which has practically more recharge than anything I build, and no End recovery coming from the primary or secondary. In this case, there's no End recovery coming from an Epic either. Again and even more so, if a build has 300% Recharge, there's zero need for all of the attacks. You will have ST and AoE attacks chains with skipping attack(s). Skip one attack and Taunt and you can easily fit in with plenty of slotting for Superior Conditioning and Physical Perfection. I've been looking at a Inv/tw Tanker, so I found this post in the Scrapper forum informative just for the sake of TW info as the armor is Bio. Top 10 Most Fun 50s. 1.
