Icebox Man Posted December 11 Posted December 11 (edited) I've recently returned to Homecoming after a few years break and started firing up my old characters. Gun Toting Tut, my dual pistols/super reflexes sentinel, feels incredibly weak. She's level 50 and IO'd out, but I probably didn't know what I was doing other than "let's softcap defenses and add a few procs." Anyone have any ideas on how to improve her? I have plenty of respecs available. My first thought is to remove penetrating shot, it doesn't seem worth using. Without_Pause Posted December 11 Posted December 11 Weak in what way? Offensively or defensively? I know I looked at a guide talking about DP and Piercing Rounds was deemed one worth skipping despite having -Res in it. I would change the IOs in Enduring and Stamina to set pieces. The Chance for Build Up in Pistols isn't really doing much for you as I believe it triggers once per minute. I would also take Dual Wield instead. You could easily drop Teleport Target which isn't doing much of anything for you and Piercing Rounds to switch in the Sorcery Pool with swapping the travel power. This gives you access to RoP for a temp boost in Res. I assume that works theme wise for a magic origin. 1 Top 10 Most Fun 50s. 1. Without Mercy: Claws/ea Scrapper. 2. Outsmart: Fort 3. Sneakers: Stj/ea Stalker. 4. Emma Strange: Ill/dark Controller. 5. Project Next: Ice/stone Brute. 6. Waterpark: Water/temp Blaster. 6. Mighty Matt: Rad/bio Brute. 7. Without Hesitation: Claws/sr Scrapper. 8. Within Reach: Axe/stone Brute. 9. Without Pause: Claws/wp Brute. 10. Chasing Fireworks: Fire/time Controller. "Downtime is for mortals. Debt is temporary. Fame is forever."
FupDup Posted December 11 Posted December 11 The advantage of Pistols over Dual Wield is having higher DPA out of the gate, but the slower recharge on DW can help it proc a bit better (but probably still not great because it's not that much slower). 1 .
Mack008 Posted December 11 Posted December 11 One thing you could do is add a couple more procs to Suppressive Fire. (Gladiator's Net and Gladiator's Javelin.) That's five procs, and just throw an Acc in the six slot. That will raise the average damage from 236.7 to 361.3, or a 52% increase.
Heatstroke Posted December 12 Posted December 12 This is the build I am currently running for a DP/SR Sentinel. Works pretty good for me. Softcapped well for most things,
