Bots/Traps is the tankiest imo. It can be built to have softcap def to all positions/types and +75% res to S/L/F/C/E/N. Bots will be softcap to everything as well.

I found your build in another thread. Impressive indeed. Using full ATO sets and Murky Cloud to hit those resistance numbers is clever.

I think I'll be stealing some of those ideas over to demon/marine!

If you're doing demon/marine don't forget you can color your water red for blood pact magic

Demons/EA.

Bots/traps can be built to be very tanky, but it cannot keep up with the sheer healing and absorb potential of demons/EA.

Bots/traps can solo +4x8

Demons/EA can survive in almost any kind of farm with threat saturation. For you and all your pets. I've walked right into the middle of the fire farm asteroid and stood there with a brute who was like wtf Masterminds can handle this?

Most can't no.

And I am also going to state for the record Demons/EA can achieve this without Tough, Weave, or Patron shields. Not kidding. My demons/EA went with fire for bonfire, fireball, and ROTP, though I need to respec out of bonfire (havent updated the build since it got nerfed) but I went ROTP because I tend to play very aggressively with the build and sometimes you get one shot focus firing a boss or something.

Bots/traps has to sacrifice alot of utility and better slotting for some powers, sacrifice a ton of recharge which bots/traps REALLY needs. Making Bots/traps tanky comes at the direct expense of damage and debuff. And demons EA, if you make the same sacrifices, becomes the tankiest thing in the game bar none, you are literally unkillable.

Thanks for all the information as I am starting to go down the MM rabbit hole again. Do you happen to have a build to share for your demons/ea @TheSpiritFox ?

Sadly I do not, I straight eyeballed that one lol. I only do a mids build if I really need to and elec was actually pretty easy to plan out cause I literally wanted nothing but insane recharge, end recovery, and melee defense in that order. Sometimes I open mids to make it easier to check like which sets have which bonuses again but that's all I use it for mostly now, though I will have to build a marine at some point cause new powerset havent slotted it before.

Does anyone have an example of a tanky Necro/EA  build?

Pretty much any EA build that slots the secondary well will end up pretty tanky.

Mine wasn't exactly focused on being as tanky as possible, but as long as you keep Faraday Cage out and spam your buffs, you can endure pretty much anything.

Defib and Discharge here are mostly a gimmick, but I have fun with them. You could easily swap them for anything else. I haven't revisited this in a while, and would probably change a few things in a rebuild, but it plays well!

electric necro mk5.mbd

Here's a tiny rework that swaps defib for another epic attack, with some extra -res to boot. Honestly EA is so busy that I wonder how much I'd get to rotate it in.
