Is this an error in verbiage?

I +5'd a proc which I know does nothing but I noticed when mousing over said proc it gave a red warning message that says "You may not combine this Enhancement with any others. Cannot use Enhancement until you reach Security Level 52".  However, non procs have a message that simply says "You may not combine this Enhancement with any others."

well, you did not boost that proc, because you are not able to do that in the enhancement manage screen. but apparently you can convert in-set and get a proc like that that should not exist, which i had never tried before but confirmed that it works. i was curious as to whether that proc actually works now, but in trying with a UG 7.5% max health enc, that one works as it should. so it probably works as it should.

 

i would say that is some ancient relic from way long ago, when SOs had a max level 53 and you could only place something +3 to your currently level. since +5 boosted enc is functioning as a lvl 55 enc, this pops up.

you can't really do anything with it, since it does nothing for the enc. better off converting it to another and using that. 🙂

Except slotting it and gaining bragging rights about having it slotted like that, sure it's not usefull to be slotted like that in combat but you can share a screenshot of it being slotted and show everyone how cool and unique your characters slotted enhancements are

IIRC, I don't think it is possible (any longer, on Homecoming, *1) to slot a Very Rare set's +5 proc. My guess is that it would be the same for other boosted procs as well, it is only the the Very Rare sets for which I've played converter roulette for 50+5 pieces... and this is a feature of those sets typically over-doing it on Damage and/or Recharge enhancements, so I've occasionally found myself rolling between a 50+5 Damage piece and a 50+5 Damage/Recharge piece.

 

*1: I guess I have to believe that Perfect Zinger did get slotted!

You may be right.  It was a converted +5 enhancement.  That makes sense.
