Gobbledygook Posted Thursday at 09:53 PM Posted Thursday at 09:53 PM Hi all, I started an Elec/Shield Stalker, then I remembered why I don't make shield toon. With that said, however, I am wanting to keep going with Elec Melee. I'm thinking of going Invuln because it was one of my favorite Brutes. I'm just not sure how the resistance works with Stalkers. And yes, I'm aware that Invuln is a Res/Def hybrid set. Which other armor sets would you recommend, and why? Are there any that just synergizes with with Elec? P.s. No Stone Armor either. I just can't stand the aesthetics.
Championess Posted Thursday at 11:19 PM Posted Thursday at 11:19 PM (edited) Invuln on stalkers attains good resists per the norm for Invuln. Its also nice to have Dull Pain. Though since you're not powered by enemy count feeding your defense through Invincibilty, you get a decent value of typed damage defenses which then you'll need to build on. It's not terribly hard to target dmg type defenses along with things like Barriers and other defense powers in pools. All in all I think Invuln is a good tankier stalker, though I gotta say I enjoy my other armor sets more. Love the offensive ones in Bio and Shield, plus Energy Aura is a real good versatile one. I've enjoyed my EA stalker much more than my Invuln, you may want to look at EA if you're on the fence. Edited Thursday at 11:21 PM by Championess
Errants Posted Friday at 08:33 PM Posted Friday at 08:33 PM I've ran up a DM/Inv Stalker... Certainly felt useful enough, tho I had the cheat of Siphon Life and -ToHit. Death is the best debuff.
Carnifax Posted Friday at 10:22 PM Posted Friday at 10:22 PM (edited) I've done Staff / Inv and it's quite fun. Inv is a very decent scaffold for an IO build. You can make yourself pretty tough. Pretty passive though, no clickie tricks but with Staff that was a blessing (redraw irritates me). I'd second EA as a good shout too. Groovy_Ghoul Posted Friday at 11:43 PM Posted Friday at 11:43 PM Agree that /Inv is a great secondary. It's very tanky. Similar to Shield in that it has a good balance of Resist and Defense. I put together a Electrical Melee/Invulnerability build to get you started. S/L defense 45%. S/L resist 75%. Perma Dull Pain. 50% slow/recharge resist. Stalker (Electrical Melee - Invulnerability).mbd 1
Groovy_Ghoul Posted Friday at 11:48 PM Posted Friday at 11:48 PM Adding two more builds for consideration. Electrical Melee/Super Reflexes Electrical Melee/Ice Armor Stalker (Electrical Melee - Super Reflexes).mbd Stalker (Electrical Melee - Ice Armor).mbd 1

MoonSheep Posted yesterday at 08:39 AM Posted yesterday at 08:39 AM what were the things that put you off elec/shield? i ran one to 50 and have found the combo of lightning strike + shield charge to be an unbeatable AoE damage combo If you're not dying you're not living
Kaika Posted yesterday at 08:48 AM Posted yesterday at 08:48 AM Invun is a solid stalker secondary, not meta, but not far from it, I play it on my main and she can solo basically everything at 4x8 fairly quickly, only having to really try with some of the harder groups. Dull pain is very powerful, but high recharge so you are somewhat vulnerable to getting whittled down if you don't have any other tools for sustaining yourself, but its not nearly as bad as shield or SR on that front. Build wise it's pretty flexible and slots out pretty well, you can end with most res maxed and most def types at 40-45% without having to go too hard. It can have end issues though, but thats just stalker in general and it is possible to get it under control without having to slot hard into it, this lets you be fairly flexible with your Destiny slot, as just about every pick has it's niche if you want to go through the effort of getting all them. Kaika DB/INVUN Stalker Unluck AR/Nin Blaster Riot Siren Bio/Dark Tank Ria Greenheart Axe/Sheild scrapper Ghostflare Changeling Peacebringer Fio Rune FIre/Rad Stalker
