Fight with Jack In Irons caused multiple players to LCTM

I was just involved in a fight with Jack In Irons.  Soon (for me a few seconds, maybe 5) after our team defeated him I got the "Lost Connection to Mapserver" error.

 

I thought nothing of it, that it was just a standard DC that happens sometimes but in General chat several people spoke up about the same thing happening to them.  They're claiming they did not get the badge nor reward merits.  I already had the badge and didn't track how many RMs I had so I can't speak to whether I got the merits.

 Zone/Mission: Croatoa Position: [-2567.6 142.1 -697.0]

 

I did move a little bit before taking /whereami data but not too far.

 

Edit - I see I didn't mention this was on Excelsior. 

 

This happened on Excelsior.

This happened to me right after defeating Jack in Irons a few years ago.  The Croatoa zone crashed and everyone in it was disconnected and rolled back a few minutes, losing the badge and reward merits.  I just assumed that it was Excelsior being Excelsior at the time, as it's not exactly the most stable of the now six shards.
