What are the actual mechanical benefits of Domination?

Ageless T4 provides a declining Recharge Reduction enhancement over its duration.  So it will help with making Domination perma.

 

However, a Dominator build should try to make Domination perma without the effects of the Destiny Incarnate Power.

 

On Advanced Mode at high number of *, often have to balance the Destinies across a Team.  (Which is why after getting to all T4, more Destinies are the next thing a Toon you're planning to run on Advanced Mode TFs should do.)

 

Which means your Toon may be without Ageless and miss getting hit by someone else's Ageless during a mission on an Advanced Mode TF.

Is the 117.5% recharge with hasten running or just you base level global bonus recharge?

 

If that is you global recharge minus hasten then you are more than golden with a bit of buffer room.

 

Unless you are getting crammed with a lot of slow or -rech effects. Which the Ageless will counter act if you have that T4 version, then you are fine.

It's 117.5% without Hasten and has the T4 Ageless Incarnate.

I wouldn't build a dom having to rely on the recharge you get from Ageless.  Yes its nice to have for the added recharge and mostly the endurance fix doms do sometimes need outside of reclicking domination.

 

I agree with @Jacke if you're ever looking to use it for endgame stuff you're more likely required to have Barrier Core so you'll need to rely on yourself for the recharge, although you'll likely have a kin on the team.  The endurance fix I'll get from Epic pools and I have an alt build tailored for 4star content.

 

If you're set up well for endurance then having Barrier is highly useful.

I'm curious. I know you're not the only one. But how many forgo the end game for reasons of their own? Maybe 10%? Is it more? 

I know some make a choice to avoid 50, just stopping at some level prior for their own reasons. Some don't make it to 50 because of what I call powerset/AT envy, where they'll team with someone and think, "I want to do THAT!" and finish that task/mission and immediately set out to make a new alt after spending immeasurable time trying to come up with a catchy name and costume to fit some theme. 

I play my 50's, but other than Hami or the labyrinth, I don't do much with them once I get them t-4'd. Hopefully, the next patch will provide more to do with them without making it seem like a grind.
