Having reviewed a couple dozen bases now, I've occasionally bumped into something that is mystifying me: the use of Supergroup graphics as "decals".  I assume they are not, since I've (so far) not found any such decal in the parts lists.  So that leaves visual effects, but those items that I know to have the supergroup graphics either rotate the graphics or curve the graphics (holograms) or have the image embedded into something 3D in a way that seemingly should not display as a flat, solo graphic.

So how are these created? And taking it a step further, is it the same method like the pictured, layered, double graphics, which Dacy apparently compiled?  I assume the white background is the shower floor tile.

These are just super group floor plates carefully placed.  The bottom image is from The Watchtower.  It is a super group floor plate lowered slightly beneath the balcony piece used for the flooring.  The logos on the floor plates sit slightly above the floor plate texture itself allowing for them to be used as decals this way.   The top two images look to be layered floor plates using different SG logos.

Oh hey, that helped one of my designs that I was working on for my portal setup.

Oh, and for creating the decals, you have to change your SG Emblem in the SG settings. (Works for Banners)

Change SG Emblem, get your item that needs placement, repeat.

Supergroup floor plates are in the Surfaces Category.  (Or just use the search)

The Supergroup floor plate is then rotated to be upright.

Ah, great!   The SG logo being raised higher than the floor plate is what I didn't know.  Thanks for clarifying!!

That I did know, but it's always valuable for those just starting out.  The tactic works for anything else with the SG logos, notably holograms.  I was able to drop a lot of banners I'd used for function identification (such as a medical cross to highlight the nurse) for a more tech look using this tactic.
