BG58 Posted Friday at 05:21 PM Posted Friday at 05:21 PM I don't know if this has been suggested before (and I'll be surprised if it hasn't), but how about creating a target dummy for your base that can be targeted to practice your power rotations or just test powers in general? It doesn't need to parse your damage output, it's just that we alrady have several items (bullseye target, clockwork dummy, etc.) that can be used, but they are not targetable. 1 1
Psyonico Posted Friday at 05:55 PM Posted Friday at 05:55 PM FYI: there are target dummies in RWZ, and you can unlock a target dummy with an accolade. but sure, why not? 1 What this team needs is more Defenders

I can't speak for the OP, but from a personal perspective, that isn't the point. I've made firing ranges in bases that it would be really nice if they could actually be used. All they are right now is decoration because that is all they can be. And it would be really nice if that was not the case and my firing ranges could be used. Yes, anyone can just go to the RWZ and use the dummies there. Or someone can get the accolade and use that dummy. Being able to just use a dummy isn't the point though. Not for me at least. 1
Psyonico Posted Friday at 06:34 PM Posted Friday at 06:34 PM I’ll ask that you re-read the last sentence of my post. 37 minutes ago, Psyonico said: but sure, why not? I’m not against the idea, I was just informing the OP of the current options that exist for practicing rotations and what not. also, is practicing rotations a thing in this game? I don’t main damage dealers, nor do I do content hard enough that I would need to practice a rotation, so I’m curious. What this team needs is more Defenders

I was attempting to provide clarity on why someone would want this. 5 minutes ago, Psyonico said: also, is practicing rotations a thing in this game? At least when it's the character invoking the 'next target' logic as they continue attacks, they can see 'Vanguard MDC' appearing in their target window, so they can tab to the next target, so it's much less effective at griefing non-pet classes. At least with the changes on open beta, controllers get pet controls, so they will -- when it goes live -- be able to pull their pets away from being locked onto the MDC someone else dropped for a lark, instead of having them locked onto the MDC forever. 1

My point was having one you can put it the base that's more than just decoration, as Rudra followed up with. As for the rotation thing, I was referring to the point during leveling where you get a new power and want to see how it works with the others you already have, sequence, timing and such, especially with the powers that build a resource like Combo or Tidal Power. It's a minor thing you really don't need after a while, just when the power is new...
