I put together an Illusion build that aims for perma PA, and paired it with Traps since it also loves high global recharge. Concept is a tech-based stage magician who takes the act on the road (or the streets, as it were...) I have three main goals: --AV soloing, something I've never tried to do before --Some defenses; while the PA holds most of the aggro, there are always going to be some random AoEs --Still useful while exempted down Here's the build. Apologies for not posting with Mids, my computer's a little too old to run it. (Still runs Windows 10, in fact - and yes, I know I'll need to upgrade before October!) Colors indicate how much global recharge the set bonus gives. If not, can FF procs from the (fragile) Phantasm and/or the -rech of Temporal Bomb get it there? I'd prefer Trip Mine over Temporal Bomb if I can get away with it. For those counting, I also have one extra slot. Could be an end redux IO for SI, but not sure if that's necessary when it's my only toggle. Could also go into the otherwise slotless AM, or a fifth slot for the bomb. Could also swap out Web Grenade for Caltrops. I generally like Caltrops better on other characters with support abilities, but Web Grenade can trigger Containment. Do any Traps auto-hit in PvE, like Trick Arrow's Flash Arrow? I typically take Teleport Target early on alts with support abilities that team a lot. It greatly helps with keeping groups together. That said, I could switch it with Hasten. Mopery Posted Tuesday at 05:19 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:19 PM With Hasten added you'd have 225.5%, which is about 30ish % more than you need for perma-PA, if I remember correctly it's like 192.5% or something like that(including perma-Hasten). Those times you saw no footprints, I had Fly toggled on.
Hedgefund2 Posted Tuesday at 05:34 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:34 PM I'm looking through this in some detail but wanted to make a post first to emphasize that the FF +recharge proc in Phantasm was no bueno. It won't benefit the pet, no pet is affected by recharge buffs or debuffs. You might benefit on summoning it but that's not going to happen frequently enough to make that worth the slot. The SA kb2kd is a fine choice though. More later.

Uun Posted Wednesday at 03:32 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:32 PM When the new patch hits, fear will trigger containment, allowing Spectral Terror to provide instant AoE containment. Slot Spectral Terror with Cloud Senses instead of the ATO. You want to enhance the -tohit, not the fear. All the debuffs in Poison Trap are autohit (the initial hold is not). Caltrops are also autohit. Slot Acid Mortar with 2x recharge IOs or 3-slot with a Defense Debuff or Accurate Defense Debuff set. You can have more than one out at the same time. Uuniverse

I find it to be a pretty crappy proc (only 1 PPM) and generally don't bother with it. Caltrops does the "run away" kind of fear, which doesn't trigger containment. It's the terrorize fear that will trigger containment. Poison Trap has a lot of moving parts, including two different hold components. There's a 100% chance of a 5.96s mag 3 hold when the trap is triggered, followed by a 2% chance of a 5.96s mag 3 hold every 1s. Slotting Poison Trap for hold duration is quite useful. If you can find a 6th slot, add a 2nd %dmg proc. Also, note that Flash gets the new Adaptive Recharge in the new patch, so should be available more. 1 Uuniverse
